Crankshaft Pulley/harmonic balancer install question

I'm installing a harmonic balancer on my 77' 2F, I'm not sure if I'm bottomed out of the crankshaft or if i'm just going up against friction/resistance. Can anyone pull a tape (or calipers!) from the back of the harmonic balancer to the timing cover and give me the measurement?

Other pulleys are not installed yet. I torqued the nut to 144. My gut tells me it need to go on farther but I'd like to know how much.

Also, I don't want the nut to have to 'press' the pulley on.

This is a VERY relevant question. If you've got that much torque on the nut, chances are the pulley is seated. But as Jeff notes, pulley alignment would be your best guage as to whether there is any other issue.

Once i get the Alternator and the waterpump mounted up, i'll report back on alignment.
