I’ve had that off a few times, but it’s always a bit of a head scratcher at first figuring out how to get it back in there...I've stared at that thing a few times myself before finally figuring it out.
I think it has to do with machining the pan for an oil pickup passage way
from memory 10mm allen wrench
90430-27005 plug gasket
The truck the I did this to is still in service and owned by a friend. I’m not aware of any issues
did the napa part come with an o-ring?My sensor mounting flange and wiring were brittle and cracked, so I decided to replace. The OEM unit is around $115. I was pleasantly surprised that the NAPA Echlin part was actually a repackaged Denso part. $90 list, but NAPA often has promos and always has 10% discount for AAA or military/veterans. $78 out the door.

I don't recall. It looks like the Napa part is now over $200, so this may no longer be cheaper than OEM.did the napa part come with an o-ring?
