More undercarriage pics would benefit a seller.

Yep. The “bumperettes”” are usually a dead give away

The undercarriage is pretty pristine with only a few spots of light surface rust on the axels. I'll post a few current photos as soon as I get the chance.

The BJ40 (Diesel) came from Costa Rica so it's not US spec, except for driver/pass seatbelts which I added after the purchase.

Being new to the FJ40 scene, why do those bumperettes make it look like it is not a US spec? I ask because a few months ago I bought a 1971 (build date DEC '70) that is a US spec, but the bumperettes were beaten up and bent. So I ordered some from a vender, and I'm just wondering if they will make it look non US when it is US? But then again, I'm building one to enjoy, last forever, and pass on to my son someday, not a trailer queen to go be judged and scored at Pebble Beach or anything like that.

If it’s still for sale I’d love to see some pictures of the engine bay, frame and underside of the floor please. Also is it original drums on the front or does it have a disc conversion? Any more detail most welcome.

More pics would definitely be needed at you sale price. A few observations for potential buyers to take a closer look and confirm it meets your expectations. Definitely is a looker.

1) Undercarriage. Hard to tell if it is powder coated or sprayed over with gloss paint. Is the chassis pitted? Pic of pitman arm and center pivot look pitted. Detailed undercarriage pics would help buyers assess condition.

2) Rust stain on driver-side rear top quarter panel near rear seat over fresh paint?

3) Was this painted overseas or here in the US? Any pics of it getting painted/ restored? Based on pics, seems like a quick overspray. Rear tire carrier rubber stopper was painted over,

4) is there bondo under the lower barn door latch? Seems uneven. Unusual and potentially weak connection.

5) Pics of sheet metal under all the mats.

6) Engine bay pics?

7) Is there bondo or heavy overspray on the hood above the PS headlight?

8) Buyers should validate the extent of bondo on this rig. Magnet test is good to do. South American rigs are notorious for this. Peace of mind is good to get. There are many lipstick on a pig specials out there. Highly recommend an in person inspection before purchase.
