I thought that too, but if you look at the other pics, its clearly a silver truck... I bet its just bad lighting.. Not to mention its still the fugly custom $$$$$$ job...

The tan toyota color avail on the 08's is metallic, not flat.

They should have made the doors half doors like that are available on the new 4 door rubicon. The custom job is f-u-g-l-y.

The FJC really weren't built to be a convertible, which is obvious just looking at this one.

I like it.
It looks like my FJC is slowly being built the way I want it.
I always said I would buy one if it was a soft top and a diesel.
Come on Toyota, just one more wish............

The article is pretty good. I went and looked at them but the reward visibility is awful. I think i will pass on them if they had a convertable that might not be too bad.

Looking closer, I agree that it's a silver one, but maybe it was resprayed tan?

It's silver... you're seeing tan masking tape on the doors, pillars, etc. Not sure what's going on with the section of the roof though.

I agree, it's too long for a convertable.

alright...

I think it's rad! but as if the visibility doesn't suck already, they've actually managed to make it worse! Not to mention all the storage space you're losing in the back!
As cool as it is to have a suv/truck/convertable I like what toyota did at sema last year with the truck version! No visibility loss and no loss of storage space!!!
The convertable will make a cool beach cruiser, but anyone who actually uses this car for the reason it was made, OFF ROADING is going to need it the way it is!!!:flipoff2:

I prefer the the hardtop for security reasons and I live where it rains alot.

Convertable makes it look cartoonish, NO- sir- don't- like- it

I'll pass...

looks ugly and takes away from the offroad look.

LOOKS LIKE A SUZUKI ON ROIDS Me no like........

I have to agree...I saw one on google pics and it looks like something from pimp my ride (the only thing missing from the pic is X-Zibit driving it). I'm sure Toy will come out with a soft top later that will look good?
