...I will be at the swapping shop tomorrow and will take pictures of the ECU where the connectors go in.

Onur, It would be very helpful for future similar swaps if you could snap closeups of the ECU with the top and bottom covers removed.

Hmmm....

Not sure I want to open up such a "delicate black box" Tom.

Let me see what I can do. I would need to speak with the owner of the vehicle before I start opening a $2500 ECU.

View attachment 1213758 Well just to be on the safe side I got the whole set
Blank key w/ transponder, master cylinder, doors cylinders, immobilizer, and MT ECU all brand new . The cylinder set PN 89709-60020 I can sell if anyone is interested
@beno to be clear just the ECU MT will not be enought to clear the codes (NSS , etc ) in a swap , what else would be necessary to do it?
Cheers

PN 89661-60281 used = 95-97 FZJ80
PN 89661-60580 used = 97-04 FZJ7x
PN 89666-60670 used = 97-08 FZJ7x and 05-07 FZJ100.

I'd take the top one if you can give me a deal on it.

PN 89661-60281 used = 95-97 FZJ80...

I think the 89661-60281 is for a 95-97 Euro-spec 80 w/MT, maybe having OBD-II but this is not confirmed, and w/o a rear O2 sensor. Sorry, I cannot back up this claim with any references. It's just from my files where I've been accumulating ECU information.

Exactly, both the standard trim and GX models more specifically - FZJ80L-GCMRKW and FZJ80L-GNMNKW

89666-60671 = Lots of different FZJ7x from 1999-2009. All LHD.

89666-60111 = Lots of different FZJ7x from 1999-2009. All LHD.

That's the problem, I don't know of a way to confirm or deny whether or not they had OBD2.

Either way, it's unlikely that a J7X ECU will work properly in a J8X

I got a 89661-60281 from a 2002 FZJ80 LHD MT OBDII with cats and 02 sensors. Interesting that the 2005-07 came with 89661-60340.

What should I check in order to confirm this ECU will work with an H151F swap ? Outlets look the same as the 89661-60340. The truck has ABS, Air bags , EGR system, .
