ok the other important question....given what you guys did over last weekend... are there some good challenges for 60 series junk? I'm willing to try things that I have a chance in hell of making..

Given teh trails we went on the other time (a few weeks ago) they were fine and a few had some challenges.

I know there is line somewhere but...my idea is trails that I can try to do that challenge you and your truck...but are not obviously so aggrivse as to preculude the attempt in teh first place..., the old game of taking the longer wheel base junk out there.

To answer your question Elbert. I sure there are trails like what you described but I haven't seen them yet. Even though we coved a lot of ground fri and sat we barely scratched the surface of what's there. I did make they comment Sunday that I had yet to see any trails I would consider moderate. What we did was either 95 % in 2wd or "holly s##t I have to drive over that!" haveing said that I would think 75 would be a good one for you if you bypass the " fin" part at the beginning. Next time I'm there I will be scouting for the type of trails that I consider moderate.

I ran ~half of the blue trails in my GX and had no issues. There are trails for everyone at CC. No question.

Well Can You??? I had my doubts on the knife edged trail that Andy described earlier!!! No trees for quite a while to stop the Hendog if he made one false move. I owe my spotters big time.

Henry--why is it every time you get out you break somethin'? 75 looks like a cool trail, gotta check that one out.

Well, in his defense, we were coming down a double black diamond trail when it happened. The hope was that this short section of the double black wouldn't be a terrible section since we just wanted to use it to get to a single black. Obviously that was not the case (at least 4 of my GoPro vids are of this section where the Birf broke). Once to the other trail, Henry drove nearly the whole thing in 3wd with few issues... you shoulda seen him come out the last little "bumpy" incline. Even Rob and I had to use a little throttle to get out; you can imagine how much The Hendog had to use!

Very cool trail (an all day one if you got more than a small and/or very capable group). Damn near need 4-wheel-steer to accomplish the first section though. You CAN bypass the first gnarly section, but just before it meets back up at the bypass, there's an awesome overlook that you won't notice from the bypass - the valley view in my PB pics. GREAT place to stop for lunch in my opinion (I marked it on my GPS for future reference ;))

It was a great weekend. Everyone mark your calendars for the first week end in November, we will be holding our annual meeting at Coal Creek.

Hey Roger. Are you guys going to post up a thread for this ride? I know it's quite a ways away but... never too early?

(If anyone wants to share a cabin, let me know. I think it's going to be me and one friend so far.) :hhmm:
