Yeah, I know it all too well! I'd love to attack it again when its dry; probably be a hell of a good trail!

So, at this point, who all is going and for what time periods? Specifically, I'm trying to figure out what my portion of a cabin might be if I stay in one for 4 days (2 people). Andy, how long you there for? We're likely in to split a cabin with ya at this point I think - especially since the 25% off deal.

Hey guys, I would like to come up and ride the trails with you guys. I have been working on HENDOG'S junk and now we need to go thrash it to see if I done any good in the updates.lol He is locked front and rear with 4wheel disc brakes now, I still have a few things to do before then. I still need to fix the loose nut behind the wheel.lol

thanks
lee

Everyone is welcome to come ride. Rob and I are planning on going up Thursday afternoon, I ll have to leave Sunday evening or first thing Monday morning. We will be camping in the RV area. Those of us planning on guiding trail rides for GSMTR will continue to work our way through the trail system. We should have enough people to break into groups so those that just want to run the extreme trails can do that.

I have run a lot of the blues already and won't be wanting to do more than that come GSMTR so that works for me. I am confirming the cabin and us coming this weekend with the CEO.

My son and I will be there Friday morning, leaving around lunch on Saturday. Anyone know the size of the cabins? We will definitely be staying in one, and if they are 2 bedroom, we will have a bedroom available if anyone wants to chip in on one... Looking forward to it!

Cheers...

Joel

I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. Cutting it too close on the EFI swap. I'll try for the next one.

The cabin we stayed in last time was a one bedroom with two bunk-beds, sink, small refrigerator, microwave, bathroom with shower. room for 4

you going this time Elbert ?

Here is the link to the campground, Windrock Park | Campground | East Tennessee Mountains | OHV Trails | RV Park | Mountain Cabin Rental | Primitive Camping | Windrock | ATV Riding | Off-Road | OHV | Adventure, note that the office closes at 5:30 or 6 PM Eastern time depending on the day of the week, so if you are arriving after that you need to call and have them leave the key out for you. Elbert described the small cabins, they also have 3 or 4 large cabins that sleep 8 and I believe have seperate beedrooms.

sorry I can't make it this time.... Post up what you guys think about the trails.

Melissa and I just got back from CMCC Sunday night so she is opting to spend her sweet 16 b-day celebration at home rather than on an other trail outing. Have a great time and good luck in scouting out the trail system. I will be looking for your reports.

I hadn't planned on calling up beforehand about camping or a cabin but I see that some have; Do I need to?

Andy, you ever reserve a cabin with hopes others would join in at the last minute? I'm kinda betting that might happen to us - wanting a cabin after seeing how miserable tent camping is the first night.

That is actually The Rail Trail, which connects Trail 3 and 39. You guys are heading in the direction of 39.

edit: I finally found a decent map online for coal creek-- see link below. I'm finally able to retrace our exact steps from my gps track and it looks like we took 3-40-39 which I'd recommend for the bigger tire crowd. It's a great loop trail and will take the better part of the day.

where exactly is Cadillac Hill, we climbed up a steep frigging hill exiting on 39 but not sure if was it or not.

here's a link to the Google earth map, scroll down to the 10th post and click on the "update link" to follow. you gotta have Google earth installed.

for you guys that want to follow-- trails are in red/purple/green, white are gravel roads and blue overlaying the purple was our path.

Probably not making this due to personal issues and scheduling conflicts. Still game to trail lead for GSMTR. Will take extra time off to be there the whole week.

Still trying to get off work on Friday and coming up for the day. How many people are going?? If someone could post the #'s up
