Came to me while waiting for a new bypass diaphragm

Switched like your aircon and/or ECU controlled, with an idle timeout of xx seconds.

Failsafed by additon of mechanical lock up if required.
 
So why does the bypass start building boost around 2500 rpm? Is it so you have little to no boost at hiway cruising speed ? Why wouldn't it be better to have it come in around 2000?
 
Here I thought SC boost was instant?
Might as well turbocharge and wait for lag time.
