My truck has been inoperational for over three years after having multiple issues after the 5.3L/H55 conversion. Among many things, the transmission front shaft retainer kept breaking and finally the clutch broke into pieces. 2 years ago I sold the H55 and bought a newer (2001 or so) NV4500 so that I would have GM motor mating to GM tranny. I ordered the AA kit for said tranny to transfer case and motor/tranny/tc were mounted to the truck...

I finally had some time today to work on attaching the slave cyl. but noticed the clutch fork was too far back. I removed the fork pivot bolt to put a washer so it could stick out a little more and the fork move forward, the problem is that the pivot bolt went in at an angle. Will this create a problem when the clutch is operational? I would hate to have to pull out the tranny and replace the BH.

Hope this makes sense. The yellow arrow in the picture shows the gap where the washer lays on the BH.

The White Ghost gets a second chance

Cheers,
