CLCC FALL CRAWL 2024 DISCUSSION

Hello CLCC members and guests! This is our official announcement for the annual wheeling event organized by the club. The dates for this year's event are November 1–November 3, and the event will be held at The Cove in Gore, VA. You can expect the registration to go live sometime during the first week of August.

When we originally announced the dates for oct 18-20 we did not realize that Big Dogs Offload's Jeep event is the same weekend at the Cove. At the meeting we discussed having it the weekend of the 27th but we had some scheduling conflicts with some of the event organizers. Hence the reason for the date change

Personally I'm looking forward to the cooler weather and seeing everyone NOV 1-3

Proposition for the future: if we aren’t afraid of the cold (I am ) what about trying to line this weekend up with Veteran’s day? I know the day will always fall on the 11th, but if it fell Wednesday-Monday it would be nice for those with the extended weekend.

Agree. Not that you will reschedule around me but like last years date change...I can not make that weekend. Was happy to hear at the CLCC swap meet it was moved back. You would think the Cove maybe would check with CLCC before booking BD on a date we may be interested in.? So... If it is not set in stone, I vote for weekend of Oct 12 or weenend of Nov. 9. I think for other club members final announcements need to be on the FB page as a lot of potential members do not know MUD.

Big Dogs brings in 300 rigs for some events and has been doing it there for over 25 years. I doubt they will push them aside for us.

Yes. Have attended probably 50 of their events back in the day when I was a mad man and had their outlook on Drinking and hold it to the floor till you break.
Not to push aside but check with a club who only a year ago was using that wekend.

I'm in for the new dates barring any catastrophic 30 year old truck issues...and hopefully dragging my m101a2 with me!

As far as scheduling, it's a tough call...I agree that a reach out would be nice, but with my limited experience (and lots of hear-say) with The Cove, it sounds like they will take whatever group comes up with the $$$ first.
