Since a day has been set for the Tree Run, I'll be the first to confirm my attendance. It's on the calendar before anything else so it might stay there!:bounce:

I guess it would have been nice for me to have restated the date as you did. Well at least it's there now.

I'll plan for not needing chains, which means I might be getting pulled out a bunch.

I can't get the day off work. thought i might. I may have a trick up my sleeve, so don't count me totally out yet.

You thinking about breaking the other elbow?

doing that again would defeat the purpose. i missed the last big run because of the elbow.:crybaby: I was thinking more along the lines of a shift trade or calling in sick.

... or calling in sick.

There are a few sots in the club that would be happy to get sick with you and then you could call in with a bent elbow.

I am 80% in. Will need to ride with someone. The FJ40 and pickup are not ready to go out.

But, I have a pair of chains if anyone can use them. Sizes below:

We're in. Need to order the chains soon!

We had good luck with tirechains.com last year. I'm sure there's an old post about what type of chains to get, or post up again if you're not sure. They really do make a big difference with traction in the deep stuff. I also learned to toss a tarp in the truck for laying down in the snow for chain installation.

I've got the time off. I'll be there.

I guess I should order chains, eh?

Evan is spot on with the tarp. It really makes chaining up and down a lot nicer, it also would make any potential repairs a lot easier.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the Tree Run this year. I will be skiing in Red River that day. But I will be home Saturday night (12/5) in case we need to do a recovery effort on Sunday like we did a couple years ago to rescue the stranded FJ Cruiser.

I know you guys will have a great time. I do have the New Year's Day Snow Run already on the calendar.
