Hey guys need a new crank for my 1hdt and been looking around and a factory crank is 3k and 3 month wait but there is some cheaper aftermarket ones around for about 1k to 1.5k and here by the end of the month. Has any one have any experience with the cheaper options or just not worth the risk?

i know fun exploring options previously for a 1fz-fe quality aftermarket crank was quite a bit more expensive than OEM.

Have you looked at partsouq.com?

Price is USD. And shipping to NZ would be maybe $250-350ish

not sure what that ends up being in NZ pesos

Shipping distance from Japan to New Zealand is around 1/3 shorter than from Dubai ( there's also a difference in distance/time between Air Freight versus by Sea, but then Sea takes forever). Either way shipping costs may be less, you could compare Amayama to Partsouq. Amayama can ship from Japan or UAE depending on availablity of the part.

FWIW

We'd struggle to complete by the time we shipped a crank to NZ, if @spencer179 was here in Oz we might be able to make something happen 😁

Thanks for the tag @mudgudgeon

Shipping anything is the killer as it pretty much has to go by airfreight which is ultra-expensive.
