Bell Lexus having a sale RN. $342 shipped. Thanks for sharing the part #'s.

Dang my bad. $342 was total savings. Its actually $494 shipped, both sides. I got a little too excited :banghead:
hahha! I opened their site to double check.. If I could get another set of OEM Sport for $342... id probably buy another set to hold onto lmao (or modify further)

Had a great trip with the oldest kiddo. The extra room the GX offers vs the Trek was sure put to use!

Well, we're looking at some small camping trailers now.
I just ordered everything Ill need to install one in both the GX and the wife's 22 Telluride.

I went with the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty vs the Elite.
We're getting a small enough trailer so both the Telluride and GX can tow, the GX having a larger tow capacity. In comparing the two controller options:

There was a ~$60 difference between the two and I dont think the options "lost" would be needed for either vehicle, plus im buying 2 of them.

I think im going to replace the rear air bags as preventative maint since they're 20 years old with ~194k miles.

More pieces of the puzzle just arrived

Now just waiting for 1 more wire harness and 1 bracket to have everything at the ready. Those should arrive this afternoon pending nothing out of the ordinary happens. Then to find some time to solder/shrink wrap everything and install.

Last parts arrived yesterday, also put a deposit down on a trailer yesterday lol.. so wiring sooner than later.

Got both under-dash harnesses complete for each car

Soldered and shrink wrapped each connection

wrapped all the joints as a whole to minimize bending.
Gunna try to get the GX completed today - Telluride will have more work since I need to install the 7-pin connector in the rear.

How'd she tow?

FYI you might need to a different drop hitch for the back to get the trailer sitting about 2-3" higher (basically perfectly level).

hah yea, literally 3hrs before we were going to leave to pickup the trailer, I said to myself "oh, I need to install the hitch/ball!"

Turned out that I only had a couple 1-7/8" and a couple 2" balls. The trailer has a 2-5/16"... Online said 2" would be "ok".. but id rather have the correct part. So I ran out to Harbor Freight to nab just a ball really quick to install on a bare hitch (actually had to go to a 2nd location because even though online said "limited stock" it was actually zero..

Tested all the lights/signals and the brake controller at teh dealer before we left, everything working as it should :)
They had filled the fresh water tank before we got there, so there's close to an additional 350lbs on board already (41 gallon fresh). Just drove it straight home, about 2 miles away hahaha. GX didnt feel a thing, other than some bumps in the road from the trailer.

We have our trial run planned in 2 weeks, so it should be a good test. Will be about 65 mile trip and gain about 2,400ft elevation

Lots of little things to do to the trailer, also a WDH arriving today to setup.
