Congratulations, Nice to see continuance to this story.
Time to link it?:hhmm::lol:

Naw... I've been really pleased w/ the springs actually. She tracks nice down the road and flexes really well.
The only problem that I'm having is the 203 box popping out of gear while going down hill using the compression brake. So longer descents where there's no throttle or brake. It'll just pop out.
So I'm gonna have to tear it all apart to get at and replace the shift collar.
Probably gonna spring for a nicer set of seats and maybe incorporate the seat frame into the cage. Well see. I'm just not in love w/ the seats I have in it.
She wheels awesome and cruises 70-75 down the hwy w/ one hand on the wheel.

Good to hear you are happy with it.
Regarding the issues, it will always be a work in progress.;)
I guess I have to get going on my own junk to get my fix.:grinpimp:

I can vouch for this! When we were on the way home from the trail maintenance on Fordyce it was all I could do to keep up with your Cruiser going up the grades. Building a rockcrawler takes work but building one that still maintains street manners takes proper engineering.

Lol!
Thanks Harry!!
I wish it were the fact that I knew what I was doing, but I'm pretty sure it was LUCK!!
I was pretty accurate in my understanding of how this feature came about, right?! :)

It is a honor to say my butt actually sat in the passenger seat of that badass 40 for a trail ride (Sourgrass/ FJ45 run):D

NOOOOOO the honor was MINE to have you riding in my rig, sir!!

Yeah... I was thinking that I haven't heard much from you on your build.
I check it out whenever I see it in the 40 section and it seems to have been a while.

Been working on it this week, some sheet metal stuff.
I'm getting to the point where I need to build a rotisserie but fundi's are a little low.
Got a new job but it wasn't what was expected so I left.
Grazy when you have the time but not the money.
Will work on my tread soon.;)

Yeah you hit the nail on the head Keith. It is always helpful to know the person that you are writing about since everyone one of these vehicles has a unique story behind it. Yours was particularly interesting since you built the Cruiser in your garage and had never tackled anything of this magnitude before. From the results it would be easy to assume that the Cruiser was professionally built.

Thanks Harry!!
Didn't wanna name you out right! ;)
I appreciate the props for the build. I wanted it to be done to the very best that I could do cuz I knew I'd regret it later if I didn't.

Congrats from SA, bud.

Congrats from N MI
What's next?

Thanks!
Nothing major right now. I have ideas of a PU FJ45 to build as a DD, but thats just a THOUGHT.
Id do a vortec in it, SUA with a small lift at 33's...freshen up the interior a bit.... thats a ways off though.
Building a roof rack for Matti right now, need a winch and will have to get into the 203 next fall to replace the shift collar in there...

Right now...just enjoying having a rig again to WHEEL!!!

Ive been pretty involved otherwise in Land use issues and protecting our constitutional RIGHTS, both of which are being chiseled away! :bang::mad:

Yessir!!!
I actually just got home from a legislative hearing in our states capital re. state 2a issues.
If you do NOTHING you have no one else to blame if it all gets taken away.
I'm also VERY VOCAL on both matters for the reason, as you pointed out, that we need people to get off their asses and DO SOMETHING!!
THANK YOU for being an advocate, as well!!
