Anybody want to meet at Big Ben on South Blvd (Atherton Mills near Icehouse and the pink condos) on Thursday or Friday? Sorry for the late notice but FJinTegaCay and I plan on meeting to hand off some parts one of those two days.

Post up if either day works and we'll see what happens. Cruisers not required at this one!

EDIT: I've heard they have $5 lunch specials during the week.

I am out. Have to pick Jennifer :princess: up at the airport. Her flight leaves Seattle at 1:00 AM (pacific) tomorrow AM .

I hate flights like that ..

As John said, I'll be there. I've emailed John Huffstetler who said he'll join us if he can. I told him to invite JQ11 who he said rolled some of the profits from his pig into another Land Cruiser. I won't spill the beans but it sounds really nice.

So far i am open and will be there unless a furnace breaks. Crazy weather !!!!!

Still a maybe just depends on how much stuff I get through here.

Still trying to figure out why all my smoke detectors are beeping even with new batteries in. They are all wired into a circuit so there must be a bad wire somewhere........

Just save me a seat

This worked for me once:
There are several different types of smoke detectors, however, the most current model detectors found in homes and apartments operate by low-voltage electrical wiring with a battery backup.

These smoke detectors have internal processors that store error codes, and a week battery chirp is a common error code that may be retained, even after the old battery is replaced. The only way to clear this error is to reset the smoke detector, which can be done by following these simple steps:

* Turn off the power to the smoke detector at your circuit breaker.
* Remove the detector from its mounting bracket and unplug the power supply.
* Remove the battery from the smoke detector.
* With the battery removed, press and hold the test button for 15-20 seconds.
* Replace the new battery in the detector and plug in the power supply.
* Restore power to the circuit breaker.
* Reattach the breaker to mounting bracket.

Yeah i've tried that, they are all wired in to one circuit so if one of them beeps all of them beep.

I should say that this started 3 years ago and I just pulled them all out since I hate dealing with wiring crap. Now I have to figure it out but I think i've found the problem with a messed up Harness in the upper hall one.

Have to back out, have to run back to airport and locate an IPAD I left on the plane last night (they called and are holding it). Maybe next time.

Mike

No worries. Good luck getting back.

Good time today guys. John thanks for the birthday lunch :)

Got home to a house with no power so fixing the smoke detectors will have to wait as will all my other projects..... Time for a good book I guess.

Glad to meet you all and at least eyeball a few rigs. Had to run back to the office.

Terry T

Wow! 8 people at lunch on a weekday! And we managed to bring out 2 new guys - thanks for coming Justus (sorry we didn't talk) and Terry. They've both got rigs going under the knife right now but they both appear to be pretty damn cool. Maybe that damn Cruiserhound will come out next time (I know you're reading this :p). Not too bad for a last minute thing; all I needed to do was drop off a stereo to David and it turned into this. I'm gonna say that this counts as a birthday party for Shaun and Al.

We only had 3 Cruisers - all 80's - but I'm not complaining. Rafael made sure to thank me for bringing 'his' 80. Actually, I'm not sure what he drove, so maybe we had 4?

The only pic I got that turned out was this one. The Queen on the wall was sitting in for me while Shaun, Justus and Terry played "mirror image" with each other.
