So, Here is my install:
(Go easy on me, I think this may be my very first "original" write up...)
Started by pulling the original center console. pardon the filthy vehicle.
This leaves an ideal location for the waeco, however, the oem console has a built in step down, a difference of about 3" between the front mounting point (higher) and the rear (3" lower).
Here are some mock-ups and me estimating distances.
The lean is no bueno... MO better!
From the youtube link showing the install of this fridge in a 60 series, I concluded a platform would be the best route to go, and then strap the fridge to that.
Here are my supplies (mostly).
I had some board laying around from some garage re-arranging and opted to use it (lay off, I know its not the ideal material: 3/4" particle board, but once this is dialed in and kinks worked out it will be easy to swap out to a better platform material).
I also opted for an expedient way to support the platform: I used some pipe (1/2" x 3") as sleeves for some longer bolts (100mm). of course a really cool bracket or some cnc'd, 3d-printed, something or other thing-a-ma-jig would be better.. i know i know
I am going to use the small strap brackets to lash the cooler down, ala youtube style. Nice thing about this route is that the fridge can be removed and the platform used for some other purpose. (in theory )
So, on to the platform.
I cut the board to 9" x 20" based on the dimensions of the cooler. My board was already 20" on one side, so was an easy decision. turns out to be little short (should be about 21-22" instead, but for now I will just put the rear strap bracket on the under side of the platform.
I was pretty darn close with my initial estimates for the hole locations (small x's). I measured fairly precisely and came up with 11 11/16 length and the rear two mounting holes are 3 5/16 apart from each other. They are oriented in an isosceles triangle.
I counter sunk the holes with a 3/4 inch hole saw bit, so a socket would fit around the bolt head. I tightened the bolts down further on final install.
Busted out the trusty flapper disc to route the edges of the wood.
Test fit once the board was done. Fits great. is a little tight to the passenger seat, so when I strap it down the cooler may end up a little shifted/offline from the platform itself. The whole platform or maybe just the rear should be shifted to the driver side a wee-bit. However, the adjustment mechanism on the e-brake is wicked close already, so not sure there is much to do.. maybe notch the platform a wee bit.. idk...
Here is the material I used to cover the platform. This pic shows the top of it, kind of a canvas type texture, and the bottom is a vinyl possibly.. (the next couple pics will show I know nothing about material and how to upholster! but my labor is free!!)

Covered up and installed I still need to strap it down and finalize the electrical, but that is standard stuff (unless I find the power in one of the unused plugs under this thing, then I will post that!).
It was bedtime and I couldnt resist calling it a night and heading in to kiss the kiddos goodnight!

Dometic is the brand, not a typo.I really was only making an observation, I know nothing, it just appears awfully similar: seatbelt loop, tie down loops, etc... maybe same manufacturer, just different country kind of thing.. IDK... Anyhow, it does look pretty cool, and my mounting method will work for it as well as mine
however I think I am going to end up liking/using the flat textured "tray" on the top of mine.

Quick answer to a pm I got.
I need to come up with a cover for the hole in the rear of the shifter surround piece. I will prob notice a little noise and warmth from under there..
Yes, the ebrake is easy to function still, I just can't wrap my hand around it as I used to, but inverting my hand or just using my left hand is fine.

Oh, I miss read your original post. It very likely is the same as others. My wife got it for me for Christmas and was super excited to find an OEM unit. I also meant no disrespect to yours or your install, I like your setup and like that it shows it can replace the stock console.

For now it is just plugged in to the cig lighter. Test drive today took the temp in frig from 78 to 55 in 10 min, so longer drive/cooling should get it super cold in a very reasonable amount of time!!
And, drove to, around, and back from moab this summer and used a pillow on top of the stock center console the entire trip!! So, having an armrest/center console at a usable height is friggin' phenomenal!!!!

Seeing that it heats and cools would lead me to believe it's a thermoelectric cooler and doesn't get as cold as a regular fridge like the Dometic. Just a guess though.
Awesome setup you got there @Finnyfam60 . Was thinking of getting this same fridge to put in our Honda minivan; now I'm thinking I need to get 2!
