Does a Lexus LX450 still uses a CDL Switch like the LC. I know that the LC has it. But cant find it in the LX...Thanks for the reply

The CDL is an option to both the Land Cruiser and the Lexus. You buy and install it in the same way for both vehicles. It does not come standard with the 93? (help me someone) and up Land Cruisers.

Thanks

Thanks Guys, I just picked up a 97 LX450 with 128K mi. with Lockers. Excellent mechanical condition. Can't wait for the mod. Previous owner doesn't even know the lockers there.

I've been monitoring this forum for weeks, its pretty helpful in finding my LandxR-450 :grinpimp:. Been drooling over your rig Romer and getting some ideas:idea: . Two thumbs up.

Once the switch is installed - am I correct in assuming that you can now lock the center diff in 4 wheel high?

PS: Love the forums. Really helpful for a newb.

Here is a sliver of the acronym list we are building for the FAQ in another thread

CDL - Center Differentuial Lock - Switch installed to allow the Center Differential to be locked when the transfer case is in High.

yes....the CDL gives you AWD, 4WD High, 4WD Low, Rather than just AWD and 4WD low stock without the switch.
