Whats the plan for dinners? Are we doing group dinners this year and if so should we keep the convo here or a relic food thread?
temporary Menu
Thurs:
Breakfast - at home something light before driving to the Caravan start and grab something on the road
Lunch - On the road
Dinner - Sweet & Saur Beef Mix on Lettuce cups (Seemed like it was a big hit at Fall Crawl)

Friday:
Breakfast - pancakes w/ sausage OR Churizo Sausage gravy w/ peppers on English muffins
Lunch - Sandwich on the trail
Dinner - Pot Luck ( Sausage with peppers and Whiskey Glaze sauce )

Saturday:
Breakfast - Bacon, cheese & sausage sandwichs
Lunch - Sandwich on the trail
Dinner - Kabobs

Sunday :
Breakfast - leftovers ( clean out the cooler)
Lunch - On the Road

Is this the group menu or your personal menu? OBTW, those lettuce cups were fantastic.

ONSC is serving BBQ Saturday night and there's a pot luck on Friday night. What about doing a CLCC group contribution to the pot luck? It's a well known fact that my cooking skills are somewhat limited but Lylia has trained me to help with prep and clean up.

This was my menu lol
I was going to make a big batch of the sausage and peppers with whiskey glaze for the pot luck so everyone could hopefully have a small taste

I had forgotten about the BBQ on Saturday So I can forget about dinner for then at least

You just crushed my food dreams but I'll survive. I guess I'm back to freeze dried and FCP.

I am fine with that but i want to make sure before updating it LOL

Gassed up and leave at 9:00 sounds like the plan.

I need to apologize for not giving some rendezvous points on 29 like I said I would. My last trip north ended up being at night in the rain, and I forgot to tell you all that. My trip south ended up being on 81.
Its ok. Expectations were met :flipoff2:

I dont know what @shmukster plans to do, but I figured I would meet yall in Lynchburg for lunch or just miraculously jump on 29 of 64 at the exact time yall go by.

Just looking at Google maps and wanted to confirm which route we would be taking since there seems to be 3 main ones offered by Google. I would assume that we would follow the one that is in blue but wanted to confirm it.

Yup, that looks like the normal route.

What time do you boys plan to be at camp? I plan to leave Richmond around 8 am but may have a stop in High Point.

with no stops we would be in highpoint @ 1pm... but I would hazard a guess there will be at least a fuel stop to also use the WC and stretch... also maybe a food stop as well but I am just guessing... hopefully someone else will chime in with what has happened in the past.

Lynchberg seems to be the 1/2 way point in terms of drive time and we would be there about 11ish... a good time for a food break and all.
so figure an hour for fuel/food/ relax/ BS and to mount back up
then Highpoint about 2ish... maybe another stop for fuel and work out the kinks then back on the road for the last hour till the campsite... Maybe a good time to hit someplace for last minute supplies and ice and all.... it looks like itll be a damn hot!
It looks like there is a Lowes Food store right off 109 not too far from the campground that might be a good last stop to make....
So I would predict we would be there about 4 maybe?

again.. others have done this so they can fill in the details and time table much better
