with no stops we would be in highpoint @ 1pm... but I would hazard a guess there will be at least a fuel stop to also use the WC and stretch... also maybe a food stop as well but I am just guessing... hopefully someone else will chime in with what has happened in the past.

Lynchberg seems to be the 1/2 way point in terms of drive time and we would be there about 11ish... a good time for a food break and all.
so figure an hour for fuel/food/ relax/ BS and to mount back up
then Highpoint about 2ish... maybe another stop for fuel and work out the kinks then back on the road for the last hour till the campsite... Maybe a good time to hit someplace for last minute supplies and ice and all.... it looks like itll be a damn hot!
It looks like there is a Lowes Food store right off 109 not too far from the campground that might be a good last stop to make....
So I would predict we would be there about 4 maybe?

again.. others have done this so they can fill in the details and time table much better
So we will see you around 8pm! lol!

Wayyy better than mid 90's! I'll take it!

If the weather were going to be in the high 90's, I wouldn't bother to go. I hate the heat!
80s and thunderstorms means very high humidity like swamp ass high!!!

only thing the rain will be good for is keeping the dust down on the trail. once on the trail it will make it a mess.

is there any specific maps that everyone uses on maprika like club members were using at the Cove like @Stumpalama was using on his tablet?

I ask because I have installed a grom unit into the GX and thought it would be nice to have maps that everyone else was using so everyone would be on the same page so to say

For this event can’t you pretty much just use Gaia?

well at the Cove the club seemed to be using Maprika... so I didn't know if they were using it for this location as well

I will only be getting 10 miles a gallon towing my 40. And we will will only be doing 60mph if there are 40’s in the caravan. So there will be stops I think we did 3 or 4 stops last trip.
I think there are maps I’ve never used one I just follow the guy in front of me.

I don't mind fuel stops... we all need fuel and pee breaks lol

There are multiple maps for Uwharrie on Maprika as well as Gaia.

Supplied up for Mickie bombs?

With the outlook of rain at the event, can anyone tell if the trails are open, meaning no pinstripes from tree branches? I am thinking of leaving the soft top on but do not want to take a chance of messing it up.

Thanks

From what I remember most were pretty wide

You’re more likely to get scratched by guard rails then brush. GovCo went kinda nuts in an effort to corral the bikers and quads on some trails.

Rain there means slick red clay. On some of the trails, that means there is also the risk of banging the walls of the chutes.

Don’t worry tho. Enough rain means the trails might turn impassable for a while.
