Anybody sourced a good looking, form fitting, canvas seat cover solution for the gx? I really like the SOR tuff duck covers but not an option for the gx

I got a set of precision fit covers made for my fj60 using the carhartt canvas and I love them. If they can make them for an 85 fj60, I imagine a gx would be possible too. Cost is about the same as the SOR tuff duck, but the material is nicer.

Nice looking cover at a decent price. The site linked does not show Lexus as an option.

Looks like it does prior to 2016, model availability seems to depend on year though

They look like they have a pretty good selection for the 150 series.
The only thing I couldn't find was seat covers with perforated panels for the premium seat ventilated GX's out there.
Everything they have will cost you the loss of seat cooling. I like my seat coolers, so this is probably a no-go for me.
But may work for many other out there!

check for side air bag compatability on seat covers. Ones that are compatible have special thread on the outside seam that allow the airbag to deploy normally.

what is the main motivation for the canvas seat covers? are you jumping into the gx covered in mud or soaking wet?

We all surf in our family, so from either wet wetsuits or wet swim suits, it's handy.
Also, if you're an active off roader and hiker, there are times on hikes when you're cloths can get very dusty/dirty from either having to slide down some very steep spree, bouldering which sometimes requires sitting and butt sliding to get down after ascending. Or even the occasional trip and fall in a stream.
All of which at some time or another my family and I have done.

I tried to order some Escape Gear seat covers. My order was cancelled and refunded after 6 weeks, as they don't offer them for USDM GX460. Escape Gear stated that if there was enough demand, they may find a way to scan the GX seats and create a set.

I occasionally use these slip on neoprene ones I purchased about 4 years ago. They easy to put on, stay put, and seem to fit well. Not sure if they are sold anymore.

I've used them at the beach, off-road as well as during hunting.

We had Wet Okole seat covers put on my wife's Taco several years ago and have to admit, the are by far the best fitting and longest lasting seat covers I've ever seen.
If you live by the factory either in Costa Mesa, CA or Honolulu, HI they will put them on for free! We're only about 30 minutes from their Costa Mesa factory so we had them put them on. Fantastic fit! And perfect for a surfing family.

Here is the link for GX460's: Lexus Seat Covers - Wet Okole Hawaii - https://www.wetokole.com/car-seat-covers/LEXUS/GX460

So you may ask, "So, what's the down side?"
There are a couple of things that may or cannot matter to you.
First, many of the designs come ONLY with solid side panels. so if you want a some patterns, only the center seat and back will be the pattern.
Second, and this could be a big one for some people, your interior WILL smell like wetsuit neoprene for a VERY LONG time, couple of years maybe?
But again, these are the best fitting and durable seat covers I've ever seen. My only concern is with dogs since dogs have claws and the neoprene has a nylon pattern, the claws may snag to pattern and cause it to rip or run. The neoprene will no rip, just the nylon pattern.
You may want to call Wet Okole if you're interested and have dogs to see if this is just me thinking forward or it really does happen. We don't have dogs, but I know many of you out there do.

Wow! The fit looks great!
Is it the photos, or does it really look that good?
You say you can STILL feel the seat cooling with them? I can barely feel mine unless I have the air for both front and rear going towards the floor.

They have been in for a couple of months and i think they look better. They have kinda conformed to the seats and are tighter than those shots which were made the day i installed them. Heat works well it takes a little longer to feel it. Air still works and feels good but its much less volume. If u leave the passenger air on w no passenger it blows up like a bubble!
