Ok, for fun. Nothing like a ‘room with a view’. This is the reason camping off grid is the best!!

Late arrival at Turquoise Lake campground in CO. Curtains deployed, screens over the rear sliders held on with flex magnet strips. ready to rack out in the back of the 60. Dirt bagging and proud of it.

Next AM the copilot pouring coffee and the neighbors are still sleeping in their big rigs. Yeah I know it's an LP Coleman. Me and the copilot have a difference of opinion re: LP vs white gas stoves. Mostly she cooks, so she wins. I'm OK with that.

Bought my rig for "practical" purposes...get to/from cabin at 9800' in winter + to help haul materials to remodel said cabin. In 7.5 yrs I've never used it to off road or camp Here in Colorado.....THAT really needs to change!!! Great Thread!!!

More Rubicon camping pics from last week. @Cruiserdrew graciously offered me a passenger (and often driver) seat in his SOA 60 this year:

It's almost a year since the last post on this marvellous thread.. so I re-awaken it with a post from south Germany. Hope all are well in what has been a rather strange year so far. We were planning to return to Tas next year overland but now everything is up in the air. It could be worse?

We dropped the kids off at the in-laws and the wife and I had a rare evening together camping in the forest. A swim in the lake then sniffed around on one of the ridges above it and found a nice spot for the night with a long beer washed sunset and campfire.
