Road trip last week to a meeting and I used that as an excuse to stop over for a night at Horse Creek campground in Cherokee National Forest.

A small backstory is that I’ve had the 62 (h55) for 20+ years. I recently moved to the troopy. My daughter has taken a real shine to the 62 and is taking it over. I’ll encourage her to get a mud account.
 
Apologizing ahead of time -- probably wrong section but I see you guys posting your cooking pics here -- wondering if anyone has tried one of these? seem super portable and lightweight and easier to pack than traditional fire bowls or grates:

Looks interesting. I haven’t tried that one.

I have used the NRS Fire Pan extensively on a backcountry trip. Not the lightest solution, but it was great for fire and cooking on.

It seems like it would be worth trying, but check this out
