As mentioned early in the annual meeting thread Alan Hardin has been gracious enough to invite us to camp on his land Sat. night after the annual meeting inside of Ceasar's head state park. It is a neat oppurtunity for us to get access to an otherwise restricted area. The trail in is very moderate and can be done by a stock vehicle with a capable driver. Should be a nice relaxing little trip to enjoy the cool fresh mountain air and maybe a little wheeling along the way :D

If you are interested please post up asap so that Marshall and I can get a head count in advance to give Alan, as he will have to write up a special pass for each of us to enter the park.

If I can make it up there (with kids) I will be in the 100 and not wheeling.

Does this supplant the wheeling Jocassee Gorges (ex-Horsepastures) plan? Or supplement it? Or did I just imagine that idea?

No if someone wants to step up and lead this ride then bring it on. Annual meeting will be over around 3-4 that afternoon. I've got to break everything down and then head up to Alans property and hang out and enjoy being in the woods.

JP I'm planning on bringing the TV. If I can remember the game is on ABC. If thats the case that should be no problem recieving using the antenna. If not we could make a quick dash into Brevard for the game. I know a cool bar.

I'm in for wheeling, camping TBA.
Who's in for breakfast if any? Is there time for a short recon to Horsepastures between then and lunch/mtg?
b

bill the annual meeting starts at 10 am............ don't think you could squeeze in a run in that short of time but it is up to you. The horsepastures is probaly only 30 mins away off of 178; although from what I understand it is all just gravel roads up there now.

Put me down

Looks like there is a possibility I can camp Saturday night but not make breakfast, lunch, annual meeting, raffle, etc.

How taboo would that be? My membership is P.I.F. for a while so maybe I could meet you guys at Aunt Sue's around 4:00 or 5:00?

yeah andy we should still be there around then( I'll be watching the clemson game :D), what will you be rolling in this time around?

hope you can make!

Cool, this might work out.

Which cruiser? I guess it depends on which JP wrote this part:

"The trail in is very moderate and can be done by a stock vehicle with a capable driver."

:D
