Ok this thread is to get all the details together for the camping trip. We are scheduled for the weekend of the 23rd. We need to figure out who wants to go out friday and what time is good. So what do you guys think? I want to head out fri and leave clemson like 4 or 5 so get to the trail about 40 minutes after that.

I'm thinking Friday afternoon roundup at Master's Store.
It's not dark till after 8 so we could get pretty far into
the area before setting camp.
By the way, I know the land owner. Talked with him on Friday at my
office. We are good to go.
We can get to Cap'tn Jim's Mountain via this trail.
 
That is awesome david, how far away is captain jims house........is that our tenative goal for the expedition? I am ready to go...............


I think friday afternoon would be a good time meet; say about 5ish at Masters and head up from there...............

Also any one have a large grill they could bring so we can cook up some grub firday night??? I assume hamburgs would be okay with everyone and I can cook up some of Malphrus deliscous Rotel dip to go with the burgers, and matt said he would provide 2 cases of beer if I remember correctly:)...

Sounds like its going to be a fun trip. Let me know what else I'll need to bring. so far I have

1. Two cases of beer
2. Sleeping bag and camp pillow
3. camera

Frday at 5:30ish at Masters is good. I hope that babe is working ;-)

I plan on staying over night friday into Satirday. I will do a map recon to see if there are any suitable way points and objectives.

Beer, grub, dog and cigars is my plan.
 
Well I'm not getting back into greenville till 5:45 friday night. So I won't be leaving the house till later, so we need to decide where to camp, cause I aint up for wheelin down the power lines by myself at night. Don't feel like becoming a permanent fixture of the landscape if ya get my drift. Are there any other ways to get onto that trail besides that road? I mean there is that huge area that would be ideal for camping, the area where you either go left or right down the power lines, Plenty of room for camping and parking. Plus with there it wouldn't be hard for JP or someone to come out and drive back in with me incase I get stuck or a flat. I'm hopin to have the 40 goin over 30 this weekend with the new throttle cable. Gonna run my 31's on it since I don't have the springs yet. WRENCHIN PARTY any one!
 
we won't let you get stuck out there all alone in the dark chuck............. just bring your cruiser over here sat. and we can get you and richard up and running no problem..........

Not saturday I will most likely be wrenching thursday afternoon and sunday. But I have to get some serious s*** done so I am ready including swapping that third member figuring out where that gas smell is coming from and getting the brakes and clutch working a little more smoothly.
 
WTF are you doin on sat rudy, you got more work there than just to work on thurs and sun. You better make some different arrangements so you got some help jerkin that 3rd out.
 
what are you talking about chuck, richard is like the flash he can fix all those things in a few hours......... well that is as long as me and gehn are there to do the work for him while RUDY is off somewhere else..................:flipoff2: NO HARD FEELINGS RUDNICKI ......... I bet I will get some response back about how my crap always breaks or my daddy did everything for me.............

It's late and I am just trying to start trouble, I know richard will have that pig out there, he will have it ready
 
I'm doing the anniversary dinner date thing with my girlfriend sat night otherwise I'll be dead before the camping trip ever gets here. Skipping sat would be a bad idea. As for working on the cruiser I might get in a little bit tonight as well, and next week I should have tue and thur nights as well. So I should be able to get a lot done.
 
Keep busting ass Marshall..........and eventually you will have replaced every major part in your cruiser :) and you can call yourself "slave to the cruiser".................or atleast that is my experience

I hope to see that beast out at the camping trip.

We could pop 3 cherries if you, richard, and chuck all get your junk ready....................................
 
Need More Time?

Hey, fellas:

Since many of us can't make it Friday to Master's Store until later in the day, how about w move our muster time to 6-6:30? We will still have plenty of daylight to get unto the powerline portion of the trail (as long as Land Rovers don't show up ;-) )
 
wish I could go but I'll be on fresh baby diaper duty for a couple more months, no camping till the new smell wears off.... haahahaha

Yeah 6:30 sounds better for me too, I won't be outta work till about 5:45, so that leaves me a good amount of time to run home and gather my gear and head up ya'lls way. See you all then.
