Yeah that's on me. When I got there Friday, I just found a spot to park and set up camp. Saturday I played in the long lines of vehicles on the trail.

I'm usually decent with taking pictures (even have a good camera), but there were so many cameras out there I assumed someone would of took and shared a decent pic of me and my ride.

Went to hang out with Deacon's big brother Dipity.

I've driven about ~500 miles on the rebuilt engine so I changed the oil, greased the differentials, and rotated the tires.

Also, I've been throwing knock sensor, crank position, and distributor codes. I bought a new distributor from eBay (non-OEM) prior to deployment for install on the rebuilt engine. We either kept missing a tooth, or the non-OEM distributor is s***. So replaced the distributor, and knock sensors and that did the trick. Deacon woke up, feels good, and no codes 😁

Lastly we installed a boost guage. I've been bugging @NLXTACY for a piece pipe forever,so he sent me one. Come to find out, I should of been asking for his Vacuum Tree 🤦🏽‍♂️. (I haven't looked at his turbo instructions in years. I think his Piece Pipe goes to the oil pressure, and the VACUUM Tree goes to the plenum to measure. . .vacuum.) Anyway 🙄 we just plumbed into a port on the plenum for a temporary solution.

Wits' End Piece Pipe. Both locations shown are not where it belongs.

OT but I have a relic run patch you are welcome to if you don't have one. I signed up not knowing my 20yr old piece wasn't a relic lol
Thanks. I got one.

Added a glove box grab bar. Could only find it in gray, so did a quick paint job.

While the wife and daughter were sleep, it gave me enough peace and quite to knock this out.

Off the topic of Land Cruisers for the moment, I had an eventful week at work. Our container arrived from Africa with some 'memorabilia' my team and I purchased for the unit.

We got Tunisian Mosaics made and presented them to the Company and Battalion for thier support to us while we were deployed.

Additionally, my guys were 2 of 10 Soldiers awarded Joint Service Achievement Medals for some of the things we've accomplished over there.

With all this goodness, the unit repays me my giving me Company Command. All the responsibility for the same amount of pay. . Sign me up! 🤣

But seriously it's an honor. It's rare for a Military Intelligence Officer to take command. Even more rare is that I'm a Warrant Officer taking command 🤯. Not sure what they see in me, but I guess it's something good.

Congrats D! Maybe they trust you because you’re black and love Land Cruisers.

Good shít man!

Been try to chase this vibration/growling noise come from the rear for years. I re-geared, installed a new rear driveshaft, got LandTank's extended rear arms, replaced the rear driveshaft with a DC driveshaft, and still the same results.

I know everyone is going to say the pinion angle, and I think that's what initially caused it, but the DC driveshaft should of eliminated that. But now I think it's the bearing inside of the differentials at the rear flange.

Today I added Dobinsons adjustable rear upper control arms and I made the vibration/growl worst 🤦🏽‍♂️. I'll tinker with it a little more next weekend. At the end of May I'm getting front and rear lockers put in. I'm going to have them replace the bearings and whatever else is needed in there.

Going to have to clean and paint down here. That Uwharrie dirt looks like rust.

Also put on the Hudd Expo GIS skid plate.

I've been looking for this right angle PVC for yrs. Finally got one. It's a Duralast PCV1276DL. Also Toyota makes one (12204-50020).

****ing around, I turned the corner on the way home and gave a firm step on the pedal while in 2nd. Hit 8.5 lbs of boost 😁.

For us "normal" turbo/SC'd LC, it's not to shabby. Last week I had the nerve to ask @GLTHFJ60 how much boost is he running (he has a 60 that's diesel swapped and twin turbo)? I think he said something like 35-40 lbs of boost. . .that made me stop asking questions and drink my beer.

Yes, it's running pretty good. Still chasing a rumble in the rear. Think/hope is the bearings I'll get changed in a few weeks while getting lockers installed.
