Sucks but you have a good outlook. I assume you’ll take some R&R when you return and get your cruiser running again. Are you staying in NC or due to PCS after you get back?
Ill stay in NC and retire from there. Or at least that's the plan.

In Feb I'll start looking for a place to stay, get the family back early April-ish, and get the LC up and running.

Been buying things here and there. Need to calm down though. I already have enough of my junk at @fourtrax house lol.

That’s right, you’re very close to retiring. I’m sure we’ll be meeting up some day soon. I’m hoping to hear whether my Oct retirement is approved. Talk soon, brother and get some sleep!

@fourtrax out does himself as usual. I asked if he finds some spare time, could he start putting the engine back into the LC. Yesterday he started laying everything out and sent me a picture saying "it's in" 😁😁

Who TF is fourtrax? Is he the Land Cruiser Jesus? I need him in my life.

D, when do you get back?
Lol. . Not sure if he's Jesus, but he is a blessing 🙏🏽

Should be back mid-March. Just locked down a house to rent, and should buy my plane ticket this upcoming week.

Right on, maybe we can link up in the next few months of the AF ever let’s me retire.

It's been a while, but I'M BACK!!

Lemme complain a little before I really get started. So, I'm not sure if it's the French, France, Paris, or Air France 🤷🏽‍♂️. Thier flights are never on-time, staff goes on strike frequently, and they lost one my bags 🤦🏽‍♂️. Anyway.

@fourtrax has been killin it the last few weeks. Replacing gaskets, putting in the upper and lower manifold, exhaust and fixing a leak, O2 sensors, inventorying my intercooler, and much more.

Today after a little catching up we did a little wrenching. Reinstalled the starter, replaced the SC pulley with a 2.8, and installed the heat exchanger for the intercooler. More to follow tomorrow.

In the first picture, what is that attachment that was added so the oil filter sits vertically? I would love to get one for mine.
Gimme a minute. I'll have to find the name of it. I bought if off a MUD member. It had to be machined to fit the LC. It's a updated version of the Ford something or another oil filter adapter. I'll PM you when I remember the name.

Ford right angle oil filter adapter. You'll need to use the small Toyota OE filters with it.

@White Sheep sorry I couldn't help. I had to do an axle job on my 80. Turns out she needs new spindles and wheel bearings.

Some progress today. While installing the engine, fourtrax noticed the kickdown cable was separating near the transfer case.

We'll this part is disconnected, but that make another that's I purchased. It's about 3 inches shorter though. We installed it and shouldn't be a problem since the SC moves the throttle body closer 🤷🏽‍♂️.

We haven't messed with the wiring yet, but installed the heat exchanger, coolant pump, and lined up the intercooler for some measurements.

@lumbee1 no worries. You've done more than enough to help. Wish my LC was finished so I can come give you a hand.
