My cruiser has nearly 300k on it. I got it at 275k. The only issues I've had with it are heater Ts (before I was wise) and ignition coils (also before I was wise). If you baseline the Gold one you should be good to go.

I wouldn't hesitate to take mine across the world.

Helps a lot! Much appreciated! What's your yearly expense on maintenance, or was this literally it?
 
AHC can be removed and replaced with a standard lift kit, there are many options for that. A lot of owners here, including myself, have removed the AHC.
As far as maintenance goes I would really prioritize that over modifications as a broken bull bar wont leave you stranded but an engine overheating from something as small as heater tees might.

Maintenance was $6k doing all the work myself over 7.5 years. Including new tires, steering rack, timing belt kit, ignition coils, heater ts, and fluids

That's ~$850 / year @ 4,500 miles / year of pretty much exclusive off road and highway to off road use. Calculates to ~$0.19 / mile.
