Hey guys I just bought a 2008 LC. I have built up 80 series I have been driving for a few years and decided I wanted a 200 for a daily driver. I found one that had been completely modded, heck it even has Icon stage 5 suspension. I know me and I knew I would eventually get the itch to mod my 200 even if it was stock. So, I figured it was a good idea to buy this one since I got a great deal in all the extras. BUT I kinda wish I would have just bought a stock rig. This one drives great, I will be wheeling and adventuring in it but for some reason I just don't like the big rear bumper and I feel like the rear has too much lift. Ive actually considered selling the rear bumper and putting a stock one on. Same with the snorkel...

A few mods you can't see:
ARB compressor
ARB rear locker
Rear drawer system (which I do like)
Icon suspension
HAM radio

I really like the way Krieten's rig looks and it pretty much has the same tires and wheels. I feel like all the extras kind of hides what the vehicle is?? Am I crazy?? Anyone agree?? Thanks in advance!

I think that it is a nice looking rig. The problem may not be the truck, but the fact that YOU did not mod the truck. There is a lot to be said for going through the process.

You still have the chance to flatten out the stance and if you don't like the rear bumper, then change it, but honestly, it is a nice looking truck.

Best of luck.

That looks sick man! Keep it as is..I agree with above, the issue is the fact that you did NOT mod the truck and bought it built. That feeling will pass and hey you can always add to it, although that thing is pretty stacked - maybe a front locker lol.

paint the snorkel white and have the bumpers powder coated white. Add the Toyota OEM spacer up front. problems solved.

BTW your ham antenna would do better in the center of the roof. Even if its a 1/4 wave (about 19") antenna.

Cubic money that you did not have to pony-up built a very nice truck. Enjoy the previous owner's economic loss. Great color by the way.

Thanks Guys! I do notice each day that passes I find myself thinking...hmmm...this doesn't look so bad. I guess you are right its because I didn't do the mods and probably would have done them a little differently. Maybe I will just be patient and let it grow on me!

If you need a place to send your mods (bumpers, wheels, or snorkel), I'll gladly send you my address ;-)

@SmokingRocks has the right ideas for fixes. I do think part of what makes @kreiten's rig work is the color - dark color mods on a white truck stand out, whereas dark color mods on a dark truck are subtle.

My take would be simple - switch out the rear springs if you don't like the stance - crawl under there and use your iPhone to take a photo of the white tags on the springs themselves (the spring # is on top of the paper tab - hence iPhone reverse camera mode) - that'll let you know which ones are on there, then start looking over OME's spring stat sheet to figure out which set will give you the height gains you're looking for / level stance. My 2722's made my rig sit level, ride plush but better than stock springs and I still had 2" =/- of threads on my front coil overs. You're running 2722's or 2723 - with the 2723's providing more lift out of the two options.

OME spacers - Just so you know - if you're considering running OEM spacers up front then you'll need to notch out a (U) section of the spacer to allow it to fit with the external resi nozzle that comes off the top of your front coilovers....get in there and look at it, it'll make sense.

your rear end WILL raise up (higher than current) if you take the 150 lbs arb bumper off - stock one weighs nothing in comparison.

nice looking rig - that's about 10 grand of stuff you didn't have to pay for

I think your snorkel is there for the long haul unless you want to spend $300 for a new OEM fender, plus paint and patching the holes on your A pillar.

Stage five would include the billet lower link arms - the ones pictured on the truck look like the black stock ones - maybe that's a shadow

One thing to factor in on the tail-high stance. Are your cargo drawers full? If not by the time you fill them the stance will change.

Totally agree that it is a great looking rig and that it would look even better with a bit less black. Powder coating those bumpers white would make it look VERY nice, IMO.

Nicely built rig. If you don't like the tire carrier and Jerry can swing arms. You can always order the blank for the swing arms from Slee or somebody. @Willy beamin good catch on the rear lower control arms. They appear to be stock.

I like the idea of painting the bumpers white. I think that would look sick. I would leave the loops / guard in front and the jerry can holder in back black though.

Just checked and they are 2723's. I like your idea of lowering the rear. Especially if I remove the rear ARB bumper.

I had the 2722's and when I added weight to the rear the 2722's got a bit soft for my liking. The 2723's are way more stiff, until you load down the rear with weight (whatever that may be). The billet rear lower links are pictured below - poor photo, I just ran outside to take it.
I like the look of your truck. Hope you figure out how to make changes to it so you don't regret the purchase...these are awesome machines!
