eBay Buyer beware - FJ62 on ebay

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, Skimlinks, and others.

One of our old flipper/scammer friends has popped up again.

If you aren't familiar with the WA State sleazebags, please tread carefully.

This rig is offered by CrusinNick a/k/a Dirtyy62. Another a$$hole who uses multiple ebay and mud names to scam people out of their money.

One of the MANY threads which discuss this guy:
eBay - 1988 Land Cruiser GX

The rig currently on ebay is this one:
1990 Toyota Land Cruiser GX | eBay

ebay user: 1979t.a on eBay

VIN JT3FJ62GXL1117382

He's using the same phone number as other listings: 206-556-0123

Maybe he isn't smart enough to use burners, or change the number every now and then?

Bottom line: You can be assured that rig isn't as represented. It's probably on a skipped title. There will be rust. And in the end, you will get screwed.

Hey its me, flipper/scammer nick whatever you want to call me, this is my truck, its a very nice truck as advertised :) ive uploaded many pictures on eBay and large pictures below the description, i dont know why it bothers you if i sell a landcruiser? Jelousy? Not sure, im very aware of previous posts about me and other local flippers, ive explained many times about the situation but ill explain again, If you purchase a old unrestored vehicle and have it inspected by a shop..they WILL find repairs, ive bought vehicles ive looked at in person, brang them home to find out it had more hidden issues..not because the sellers misled me..but because its an old vehicle..things can happen, i dont own them very long and im upfront about that to buyers.

All in all...ive always done my best to desribe vehicles accurately, ive sold much more exspensive vehicles with good reviews..so why would i try to ruin my bread and butter for cheaper vehicles? Your free to voice your opinion but dont call me fraud because ive had 2 or 3 people expecting a 20K cruiser for half the cost, i can sleep at night. Have a nice new year chief.

This guy is not honest. He believes his own BS. I was told by 1979t.a (eBay) that this FJ62 had 151

Who knows why you do what you do. 1979t.a is not being honest with the mileage on this eBay listing. According to him in a phone conversation, it has 151,114. See photo. He most likely sent this to me prior to learning from the CarFax that mileage was never recorded so he may have spun the speedo back 50,000 miles to put $5000-$10,000 more in is dirty pockets.

Busted :flush:

A screengrab is attached showing this rig's ad on CL from last month. It's from the Previous Owner.

Sure as sh!t, the scumbag flipper (with no-fewer-than THREE Mud screen names) rolled the Odo back. It's clearly got 151000, not the 101000 on the ebay listing.

@BlackSR5
@CruisinNick
@Dirtyy62

And the Ebay listing makes no mention of the rust.

I hope this guy gets ass cancer.

There will always be flippers in the mud world so we're not going to get away from that. It is something I cannot stand myself. However the sellers actions are dishonest, and dirt bags who do this are some of the lowest scum on this earth.

Karma is Biatch!!!!

Is the ODO rollback not something that can be reported to eBay? Not sure if it makes any difference to them?

I believe this guy is a “dealer”, if so, he would be in the hot seat with these photos and the proof that has been provided here so far. It is illegal to roll back a speedo no matter how old the car without disclosure. My guess is the actual odometer has either been rolled back, or is in the process of being rolled back. Let’s give it a couple days and let him hang himself. Then call eBay and the DMV.

Man. This actually looks like a really nice cruiser. Why roll the odometer back when 151k miles is still pretty damn low and would likely have fetched far more than the 10k that it sold for on CL. If this was in the Bay Area I would pay at least 15k if the rest of the descritption were accurate. Some people...

Thanks for staying on top of this guy! As someone who is in the market for a nice 62, seeing stuff like this extremely helpful (and frustrating)

Just found this thread while perusing the 60/62 classified section. About 2-3 years ago i saw a supposedly nice FJ60 on ebay. I had a friend pick it up and bring it to his buddy's shop for an inspection. The shop owner specialized in transmissions. His advice was to pass as he believed the transmission had issues, and it generally was not as represented. Subsequent text messages with the seller turned a bit defensive on his part and i passed, thankfully. At the time he told me he and his "cousin" sold a lot of 60/62s.

Should have mentioned in my last post, he was using the same cell number then as he is now. That's how i figured it was the same person you were talking about.

Guy is a complete scumbag that makes it really difficult for normal people to find solid, as advertised vehicles. He's on here from time to time so keep an eye out
