well........made it to CM '15......but the tuesday before the event started, the block in a brand new LS3 cracked and wept oil to the point it didnt do a single run that i chose, but.....thats wheelin....8 days later, brand spankin new LS3, thank you Chevrolet Performance Parts.....met a great handful of folks, put some faces to forum names and saw quite a bit of familiar rigs. All in all, still had a good time w/o being behind the wheel......and won at the raffle !!! Looking forward to wheelin with some new friends. See ya out there !!

Glad u got it back on the road man. Bummer about the engine. BTW, I see on your side bibs you have 2 of those rubber hood insulators on each side. Did u add the second one or is that something that was available only on certain bibs. Mine only has one on each side

i added the second ones.......as a safety to save the paint. the rear ones are basically useless, good eye btw!!

great thread mate never seen it before just had a read through from start to finish, what caused the LS block to crack and where did it crack was it a casting flaw

Chevrolet Performance did in fact, replace the motor due to it being a casting flaw....thank you Sir !!
