Got communications with 4WD TOYOTA OWNERS MAGAZINE.....hopefully it makes it to paper

Thank you for the kind words HONGER......
Stoked to get back to Colorado and share some pics. Having a hard time with the full width axles as i like the "close to stock" look on the outside. BUT......

couple hundred break in miles on LS3........sweet as pie !! pics to follow

Great build. Just wondering what your rear bumper/tire carrier is. Also, what did it start as and what mod's did you make it to turn out how you show it?

Maybe it was there and I missed it....what kind of jeep did the gas tank come from?

Hey Flipper, When i was building, I stated a Cherokee, but it is in fact a 20 gallon Wrangler tank....

Great build. Just wondering what your rear bumper/tire carrier is. Also, what did it start as and what mod's did you make it to turn out how you show it?

Thank you Aussie, i fabb'd the rear set up in my shop. As a steel fabricator, i would most likely get hassled from my buds if i were to use a store bought bumper. I have the means and knew exactly what i wanted.
As from what it started as was basically a shoddy rigged Yota with a V8 and half azzed wiring. It ran, but wasnt the most reliable. Where i live, reliability is a must, hence the tear down. The list of mod's are pretty extensive but fairly detailed in the previous 12 pages of this post.

The air filter looks a little corny, but will have to do for now. Mounting the battery in an upright position is my next task.....the last pic is a total poser pic, but for the flatlanders, a little inspiration to wheel the San Juans.

Looking great, one of my favorite builds still! Nice work.... hope you get that magazine coverage!

Thanks guys !! They are 37" x 13.5" Toyo Open Country M/T....sidewall E rating on Trail Ready 17" x 8.5"......I HATE the time wasted in airing down at the trailhead and have no affiliation with Powerttank but their Monster Valves are freakin awesome.....from 58lbs to 12lbs in 28 seconds...WELL worth the coin in my opinion

i forgot to mention that i went with 4" b.s.....this required Spidertrax 1.5" spacers. these are temporary until the Dynatrack 60 come in.

Well, I just read this thread through cover to cover. Incredible fab work. Some very great innovative ideas.
Giving me inspiration to get back at mine. J

Are you anticipating having this ready to wheel by Cruise Moab in May? I'm on the fence about going, and the chance to see this beast on the trail could sway me!

can you believe, its 2015 and this is my first Cruise Moab to date !!

Got this drawer set-up from Smittybilt, bought it cheaper than i could build it, bolted down and fit nicely, with 3" on each side. Slides well, not like Accurides but just well. Will fab up an aluminum rack to house light stuff, jackets cooler or whatever. I put this up as i always wondered what people do for their 40's storage wise, good investment and well built w/o a ton of weight. Will post up a few pics when rack is complete
