I've had 2 LXs for a while, and my 100 was getting long in the tooth. I was planning on a few essential modifications to my 200for the last 8 months or so.

An unexpected rear-end side swipe from a fellow in a semi truck opened an opportunity to get the project rolling.

I sold the 100 and began tearing down the 200 to determine what needed to be done.

A little later I had some parts and began cutting.

New doors hung to check alignment. They even latched with ease. These trucks are tough.

Cut out the old quarter and started pulling the wheel well and door jamb support out. Holy shi*, this body is tough.

Since I had two 4x4s, I sold the 100 and picked up this sexy B to drive as my daily

New quarter welded in and mudded up

Got the front and rear ARBs on

Oops, I cut a hole in the fender

Had to buy a new bumper just to get the top two small pieces to fill a gap lol

Next up is to chrome delete, luggage rack removal, front camera relocation, paint, LC rocker covers, ARB lights, lift, black powder coated OE wheels and 35" tires, 4.88 gears, magnuson supercharger

First, I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate accident and apparently you are ok I hope? Glad to see you are rebuilding the LX as she is turning out to be an awesome rig.

I'm guessing you know what you're doing when it comes to body work!

Great looking truck.

Be careful showing off your bodywork skills, after trips to Moab you may be swamped with dent pull and scratch repair requests.

I love seeing the guts of the truck, that only comes from tearing into it. Keep the pics coming!

Thanks, but I was fine, didn't even pop any bags. But sliding sideways down a freeway at 50 was awesome.

A little, but I get by.

Bring it! $50/hour on the trail. XO

Nothing but nuts and bolts, I'm still surprised no one has lifted an AHC 200 yet, without doing a sensor lift. It's so simple to retain the AHC and factory ride/KDSS articulation on these. Not sure about a big lift, but 2.5" is a breeze.

Did the 2013 headlights bolt up to your 2011 without modifications? Or are new fenders/front bumper required?
Just bumper and grille. The supports under the headlamps going across new to be replaced if your maintaining the stock bumper. I removed all that to make way for the ARB. Everything bolts up

I hate, HATE, doing body work. So nicely done.

It pays the bills and beats the hell out of driving my LX with doors that are shaped like horseshoes and being able to reach out the window without rolling it down.

You can tell Fat Amy that Black Molly is coming for her. Btw

That is impressive, coming from someone that can do a lick of body work. Impressed none the less.

Is your snorkel not attached at the top, from the pic above with the Airstream?

Not yet, I need to heat the plastic and mold it a little better to the contours of the LX fender before I mount it to the A pillar.

Not much to report today, had a lot of work on my hooks today, but I did get some fresh rubber rolling under Molly.

I thought they were 35", but they are about 34.25". They are 275/65r20

At stock height they run the sway bar at full lock and the back of the front fender well liners at mid turns.

Very nice build.

Out of curiousity, how much did you get from the trucker's insurance?

I had to subrogate, in DFW truck insurance denies liability until forced by court or arbitration.

But the damage was close to $30k and close to 240 hours in repairs. To me it looked like they tried to total it, but it stayed just under review thresholds.

I'm in it pretty deeply, all parts are new OEM except bull bar and rear steel bumper. Oh, and of course the accessories: winch, lights, tires, gears, supercharger...
