Hi, we are just out of Venezuela, where the tension gets a little high, with all the protests that even cost some lives. But when in Venezuela, Proline in Barquisimeto, rebuilt our Cruiser. I was planning to do stuff myself, but the whole shop, including the owner, the sales manager and the designer, started wrenching the Lexus!
Before I knew it, I had a lifted and armoured overlander truck
It's not ready yet, because it needs some lights and a snorkel, and I'm busy making a drawer system/sleeping platform while in Colombia, but we're getting there.
This is a video of the whole proces and from the 4x4 shop and offroad factory.

Great video...Thanks

Holy crap! 1000% NOT what I was expecting for a shop in Venezuela. I chalk it up to my own ignorance. Really really impressed.

And they are quickly modernizing. As by now, the fully automatic robot arm powder coating line must be up and running. Powder coating 100 bumpers per day must be possible.
Anyway, Venezuela is quite a modern country. Toyota makes 5 different models over there, for example, including the Fortuner.

Cool video, and I like the truck. I did, however, cringe watching all of the folks welding, grinding, drilling, using chop saws, etc without a single pair of gloves, goggles, glasses, or welding apron in sight. I know too many techs without fingers or who've had to have steel dug out of their eyeballs to be willing to work like that.

Thanx! Yeah, I thought the same. But nobody was missing fingers, eyeballs or other vital organs...

Haha! I was thinking the same thing but didn't bother to mention it ;)

Can you ask them if they can ship bulk order to US? I'm drooling over those racks........as usual.

Guys, the owner/designer of Proline is planning to move to Florida, this year, to also set up shop over there.

Next video (Hot Wheelz car show in Barquisemito and a wheel almost lost at 50mph) in about a week.

And they don't just make stuff for Toyota. You can get bumpers and whatever for every truck you bring. Here is an example. This bumper kit is especially designed for this Nissan Patrol 2007.
But I have also seen a Ford F150, a Chevrolet Tahoe, a Mazda pickup, a Fortuner, a Hilux, a Kawasaki Quad and a KLR650 when I was there.

Some pics of the Lexus with the RTT open. At this pic we are camping in Colombia, almost on a Caribbean beach. I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY 4WD!!! :D
Note: see the opening for the window unit aircon? Downright stupid idea, if you ask me...

Nice!! Look to head down south in the next few years ourselves!!

Good idea! If you have Facebook, look at PanAmerican Travelers. It's a great hub for travelers in both Americas.
