I was going to change the tag in GA to be Guac80.

Rick, I need help with more than tube, I need to gut the thing and get it ready for tube as well.

I know you can help with that!

Gotta back out. Sorry. Bertha's new tranny & tcase are being installed that day. It's the only weekend we are going to have for this lil operation. I gotta get Cat some wheels before I can go to Beasley, and since I paid my regs, I need (NEED) to get Bertha rolling.

Looks like I can make it....no welding or bending skills but I have pulled apart plenty of 80 series pannels

Tube is ordered!! IT IS ON NOW!!!

See everyone on the 30th.

Plan C for Guac80 later on down the road...perhaps?

I think my wife and kids are going to the beach that weekend, 8/29 so if everything works out I will be there. I can bring my demo. 215amp welder if Dan has a big enough breaker to run it.

Sid

Cid, you still gonna make this? If so there are a few of us that want to demo the welder if the offer is still good.

What's the head count on this now? there are about +/-7 that have posted they will be there but who else.

Downhill Dave doesn't know how to use the forum but is talking about showing up. Dave--I'm calling you out, where are you????

Ted,
I don't know about this weekend now. My truck might be in the shop. I am buying Brian's Warn12K (of ACC) and he is giving me a real good deal, but I have to help him install it on my truck.

I would love for anyone in the club to demo a welder sometime. I am even getting a new 225amp tig/stick machine in next week.

Sid

Congratulations Sid. It sounds like you are living in welder heaven. Personally, a friend has a Miller 255 and using that welder is very addictive because it can handle every welding project that I have tried it on. A Tig/Stick machine would probably be a great compliment to a good Mig machine in your shop which sounds great with these aces.

Downhill Dave is alive and well. I am planning on being there Saturday. (just in case we run out of things to do)

Posts 1. Hooray for DD. Glad to see you made the party!!:clap::clap:

By the way (BTW) We never run out of things to do!! We wheel!

Look out beeeeeellllllloooooooow!!!!! A minimum of 300 ft. b/w vehicles must be maintained at all times.:flipoff2:

ef, I'm gonna be in Memphis throwing mud on the junk, otherwise I'd be there helping yall! I can't wait to see this to get ideas for my junk!

Ok, status update:

- Tube is ordered AND delivered (I got your VM John, calling you today)
- We have Jack and Josh/John's benders, notchers, etc on tap for Saturday
- I have a trailer and tow rig I am using to get there
- I have 7-8 people signed up to show, so be there early, bring work clothes!!!
- I am heading out of my house at 6AM promptly so I suspect i will be over there by 7 or 7:30AM Saturday morning (8/30), have breakfast, and BAM, it is ON!

The main goal is to strip the interior, get the cage fabbed up and in place, and try to clean up what we can for sheetmetal, etc to get the truck wheeling again.

Thanks so much everyone, I will be treating with beer and food for all that show up!!

If you're heading out at 6AM to be there by 7:30 then I will have to leave here at 4AM to be there same time - LOL

OK so I'm bringing my bender and both 2" and 1.5" dies then. I'll also have my angle measuring devices and notching tools with an extra air hose in case.

See you guys then... bright and early....

I think I will be able to make it. I might have to head out early (around 2-3pm) but I will help as much and as long as I can. Looking forward to it!

Smit

Ted, with Dan bringing beer and the talk about benders I was beginning to wonder about what kind of "work day" this is going to be. I don't drink anymore (hardly) and I haven't been on a "bender" for many years! Still sounds like fun.

It will be all good unless we start building the cage from empty beer cans, then we may have a problem.:whoops:

7:30????? I don't even wake up that early during the week. I did have plans where I thought I would be in Kentucky but they fell through so I should be around but probably not at 7:30 AM
