I think 1" is about the max you want to go with on a cruiser. Poser has a nice 1" lift on his red truck. You may have to extend the fender brackets where they bolt to the frame.

on a 4/72' 40, any tips on install of a body lift? 1 to 2 inches.

What kind of steering do you have?

If it is stock, any kind of body lift really won't work very well. (no slip or joints in steering shaft).

You may have issues with your throttle linkage as well...

OK, since no one has said it yet i will :D do a search, its been covered with picks too by several people. i posted pics a while back on my 2 in lift and how too's where to get lift blocks etc. good luck with it and its pretty easy.

I installed a 3" on mine. I went to 4wheelparts.com and ordered the replacement blocks. They were fairly cheap. They also have 1"-3" small diameter blocks or large diameter blocks. I just went to ACE to get the new bolts.

guess im not good with the search. 2 or 3 pages came up. dont have time to look at all the posts it comes up with. thought since it was a tech forum i could get some help and save time. computers aint my thang.

Translation: I don't have time to help myself. I want you to do it for me.

Maybe you should take it to a 4x4 shop with your credit card.

hey man...c'mon give him a break eh? the search key is a great tool granted but with the huge volume of threads on mud it can be a little bit overwhelming if all you need is a simple question answered (which this is), its kind of like typing in '4x4's' on google and then trying to find the picture you posted 6 months ago...information overload.

maybe check the FAQ that might help though....somtimes theres some good stuff in there

When you use the search function go advanced and try to use different key words and limit you search to 40 tech section. Good luck
