OK. Here is my delima and still is I just haven't addressed it. How are you going to enclose the fenders between the liftgate and outer fenders?I just re-inserted the plastic covers and it "pseudo" encloses it, but I want a real solution to it.
By the way... you moved your liftgate up to the point i wanted mine! way to go! I wanted mine to be that far forward, I was the only one in the group that wanted it that way though, so i listened to them, they were the ones doing the majority of the work!

There's a roof pillar there, but it's not even attached to the sides, it only keeps the shape of the roof. Since it's already in the liftgate, I just removed it and went as far forward as possible.

I'm going to cut some diamond plate to insert in the sides, and make them removable for servicing the wiring, etc. Then the diamond plate will cover the perimeter of the bed.

I made the interior shelf and spare tire nook out of one piece of 1/8th inch aluminum diamond plate, and will use the same stuff.

Nice build Tor! I'm surprised your not done yet!

I pulled her out of the shop today to glance at it from afar, and take some pics - attached:

thats a tight bob! looks good. keep the pics coming!

Is that the tire size shown in the picture that you are going to run? Are you building it for rock crawling?
sweet departure angle!

looking good nice work

she looks a bit lighter at the rear for sure with all that metal and glass gone. Did the rear come up an inch or so?

I think it came up another 1.5 inches, it used to be level with the front.

those are military tires, and they are about the size I'll be running. I sold them last night though, and now I'm getting 36" or 38" TSL Swampers.

lol - The wife has been spending a lot of time at home, and she demands attention!

That is cool. I always wanted to bob the back, but leave it a wagon. I think it would be kinda nice. Might have to do it someday.

Well, your Shortbus is what inspired me to look for an 80 to cut up ;) Next week I'm getting Super Swampers, and in a while I'll make an exo cage around the roof line and the bed.

I didnt know you were going to bob it also. It looks good. I want to head over and check it out in person.

Well, I got the IROK's on there, and made some improvement on my tailgate.

Pic attached

There's still a lot of work to be done, like capping the corners by my tailgate, bondo, and an exo-cage - but I'm slowly getting there

Looking great Tor!

I'm not excited about how a "bob only" looks, the rear glass needs to be removed in my tastes and needs. Here's Cattywampus photoshopped prior to it's cut:
