i will vouch for Bruce and his ability to make trucks last long after most of us wold strip them down for parts...
i know a couple units that he has i would have taken for a bush "stress relief" run and stripped the next day...

Greg, Sheldon, Wayne and others here who know me are going to laugh when I say that that frame isn't bad enough to stop you from using as a winter beater for a long time yet. That rig held together for years till I found my BJ70 and swapped the good parts to it and parted the rest.
Cheers,
Bruce

Ah, the Weeble wagon! Last time I saw it, it had a 2x4 for a rear leaf pack (or was it a frame re-enforcement?).

I'm sure I saw the weeble wagons last resting place a short while ago. Sitting with a bunch of other BJ60's who's firewalls may one day grace Japanese spec HJ61's.

Ya, jeez, who would have thought we should have saved all those BJ60 firewalls when the hulks went to the crusher?

Are there still leafs under the front of Weeble? If so they are really bagged OMEs that would be great under a springover.

I got a price for a dip and galvanizing today from Silver City Galvanizing in Delta and Redi-Strip on Annacis Island. For the galvanizing, Silver City charges $0.60 a pound and to have the frame cleaned by Redi-Strip they quoted me a price of $660 - $770. The galvanizing seems reasonable but the striping/cleaning of the frame seems pricey. Are these price in line with what others have paid?

Perhaps. Was this for the two or three step process. Their prices have had to go up as disposal of the slurry created from the cleaning/dipping process has increased...

At least, that is the story I have heard from a few different people. There was a spike in prices about 4-5 years ago.

Being the only player in town for dipping does not hurt either.

I'll look through the file for the BJ42 renovation and see if I can find my reciept.
