I purchased this land cruiser in Calgary Canada in 2001 and legally imported it in to the U.S. It has been registered in Utah and Has a Utah Title. I told my self that I would never sell it, that’s why I dumped a whole lot of $$$ in to it, now here I am selling it........ I moved out of state about 7 years ago and it was not practical or financially feasible to bring it with me. The BJ70 has been sitting in my parent’s garage and has been started up and driven periodically to keep the fluids moving. The Bj70 is too small to fit my family and my parents want there garage back. So I have to sell it.
I have cleaned up the vehicle over the last few days but have not painted over anything, bumper, sliders skid plate, axles, frame ect… there is some surface rust in spots that can easily be painted over ect but I chose not to do any of that because I want who ever is purchasing the vehicle to see it for what she is; In my opinion AWSOME! but it dose need some work.
I Want it to go to a good home. Someone that can see its potential, and is willing to put some elbow grease into it, to make it better than it is now. I have easily put more money into the BJ70 in just parts, (over $14,000) than i am asking for in the sales price. That is not including what I paid to purchase the land cruiser in Canada.
Oil Changes
I have the documentation of every oil change the original owner had from when he bought it new to when he sold it to me with 480000km on it he only used Rotella T 10W30. The Toyota Dealer in Canada did all the services & repairs. He religiously changed the oil every 5000km. Since I have owned the vehicle I have changed the oil every 3000 miles with Rotella T or Dello 400. Vehicle has all ways used Toyota Oil filters. The original owner used it as a commuter for work from Calgary Canada to the NW Territories, hence the high miles. I would say that 90% of the miles he put on the motor are highway miles driving back and forth for work. It currently has 564000 Kilometers on the clock.
