That's my pictures :)

Manifold came from G and S, not Sor. Just happened to set it on a SOR box...

The adapter is the cheapest option. 70 bucks or so, then you can run any T3 garrett. The housing would be nicer than an adapter, but $$

if it had the opportunity to get one for the 12H-T other history.

The bj gauges were used in the 62 dash.

The 62's gauge face was retained with the bj gauges behind it.

All the sending units from the bj will be swapped.

The bj 4k tach was swapped over.

The 62 speedometer was retained.

Bottom picture shows the left over parts. (note km speedo and 62 tach)

The yellow circled warning lights will be installed into the 62.

one question... why use the 62 dash? The 60 dash is metal and way cooler. I've never liked how plasticky the 62 dash seems. Is it a lot easier to use the one from the 62, or do I just have better taste? ;p

The saying goes..... "Use what you have to get what you want"

I am building a dedicated family wagon.

It is going to be daily driven.

The 60 stuff is old, brown and shabby.

The 62 dash is gray, crack free, and clean.

I had to move my tranny mount on v-wag. Did it the same way you did becuase I was tired and out of energy on day 4 of 5 on the frame swap. The only problem with welding it in place is that when you go to un-bolt the cross member you cant becuase you cant get the hump in the cross member over each other.

When installing your drive train I would bolt the tranny mount on the cross member ahead of time so that the tranny will slide on to it while you drop the drivetrain into place.

Other wise you are going to have a hell of a time getting the tranny up high enough to get the mount in becuase the tranny hits the floor before there is a enough room to slip it in.

Lookin great man.

And hey there is nothing wrong with brown...me love it.

the 62 dash is growing on me though.

Bump. I know there's been no progress, but this is just a little nudge. Call me (if) when you need some help.

There has some been some progress....

I sourced a 60 pump. (thanks Al).

The 60 pump will be mounted on the drivers side, not interfering with the 81 specific parts.

I am coping a fellow mudders system, Billy G Husk.

He sent me a pic of his 3b ps set up. Thanks for the photos.

I sure as s*** hope my swap doesn't require all these mods and parts that I currently don't have!

I'm getting excited for you!!!

But, I did spend ~6 hours yesterday gutting the new 62. pulled the carpet out and cleaned the floor. Next weekend: Front end disassembly.

The 81 bj has a one year only specific radiator.

Butler radiator shop here in Gainesville rebuilt my old radiator. $300

They upgraded with a 4 core center section in the process.

I questioned the radiator guys if the 27 year old tanks were worthy of a rebuild.

He thought so and guarented it with a 1 year warranty.
