Without one or the other chips turn into bubbles, then rust patches then holes...

Keep er oily! Once or twice a year a truck you want to keep needs a good wash, dry and oil... The oil needs to drip, if it doesn't drip it isn't the right stuff... Waxy undercoatings are only good for new vehicles and even then they usually clog drains and trap water causing problems...

what do you want to see?
i have found that properly applied Krown treatment works extremely well ...
must be applied each year in the summer so the penetrating wax can seep out the holes.
what some people misunderstand is WHEN to apply it, fall and winter is NOT the proper time for application.

the tub assembled, Mike had to do a lot of tweaking to get the doors to fit as good as they do which is leaps and bounds better than the original ... mess.
right side kick panel cut in.
That is Robin, Mike's kid in the pic. He is taking after his father, his attention to detail is impressive.
the front doors are really close, i would have to say i have yet to see a factory set of doors fit this good.
the rear doors, which are a bitch to install, are very nice.
twin tire swing outs, the one will be modified to hold a tray.

Definitely impressed by Gozzard's stuff. The dash has got to be, oh, 5x stronger than the steel part, judging by the thickness of the glass. The removable feature is nice. The door fitting is also looking excellent. Those doors look pre-1980 - does he also make the late doors, with the rubber glass seal on the outside?

Mike modified the roll cage to give more foot room getting in and out.
the cage is also not centered properly but little can be done about that short of making a new cage.
i am not a big fan of front section cages due to the chance of smacking ones head in the case of a roll over, this has happened to a number of people when laid its on the side.

interior floor hippo lined for quiet and durability.
the cover plates for access to the bolts on the tire carriers
front shot ...

drivers door, the one that is a PITA to fit
front fenders
roof painted ...

checking dash to make sure the radio clears the defrost ducts, the switches have clearence behind ...
the engine did have an issue with sucking air and dripping fluid on the ground.
at first i assumed that the tank was rusted at the seam, typical for the salt regions of North America but surprisingly the tank is tight.
the previous owner used the wrong grade of hose for the vent line with no clamp
and
the fuel transfer pickup had rust and a pin hole leak ...

sadly the pickup is discontinued so a replacement will be needed after market ...

that isn't my shop, i couldn't afford the hydro bill of Mike's shop.

Mike has some cool ass boats in his shop. there is one that was sitting beside the body, just a little boat that i could see myself with ... if i needed another hobby to waste money on.
