I went through the rest of my videos and my pics, but for some reason they came out fuzzy. I guess I must have dropped it or banged it. Anyway here's a near clear video.

I didn't have much sunlight left in the day, but i managed to relocate the windshield washer fluid tank and find a place for the methanol pump. I also found a spot for the methanol tank.
In my rush to beat darkness i didn't take good pictures. Tomorrow i hope to wire and hook up the hoses.

The weather has me down. It's been raining all day and now that it stopped it's too dark to work on it. I managed to find the fitting I broke for the pressure switch. not much else to update. I just need to finish up the wiring. There's 3 nozzles a 5 GPH, a 10 GPH and a 14 GPH. I've installed the 5 for now and will work my way up to find what's the sweet spot.

Mike what cooling solution are you going to run? Straight water, washer fluid or % methanol & water?

Read that the methanol/water solution washes the oil from the valves causing excessive wear on the valve guides. Regardless the proper spray and pressure will help eliminate rusting on components, but will still occur. I assume this happens over time, just curious.

I'm gonna run 50%methanol 50%water. I plan on setting the switch to 12-15 PSI, this way the pump only activates when under hard load and not during cruising speeds. There's anti corrosion additives in the mixture and all the reviews I've read seem to indicate there's no real issues other than steam cleaning the cylinders and pistons. The system shouldn't be on enough to completely wash the oils away since it should only activate when needed instead of all the time. The studies I looked at as interpreted by Aurora the chemist, it shows that the water / methanol solution adds torque and hp on top of cooling the intake air. Once the water evaporates steam expands and pushes the piston down on the power stroke. Similarly methanol detonates after diesel does because of the way it's chemically structured ( has to do with cetane, don't ask me I'm not a chemist I just own a white coat ), which adds more downward force on the power stroke cycle. So with the cooling of the air which in turn makes cooler EGTs you can also give it more diesel. This all sounds good but I won't celebrate until it works properly. For all I know I might b killing the engine .

Yeah, I can get it to go 80 now, I just need to not melt the turbo while doing it. Hopefully I'll figure out the wiring tomorrow and test it out. I want the 14GPH nozzle in, but I'll start slow and go from there.

Edit: i also have the option of running two nozzles at the same time. But that may be a bit overkill. The kit comes with a splitter nozzle that allows you to run two lines to different locations. Not pictured below.

Got all the hardware installed. Had to move a few things around. I needed another 2.5 in silicone coupler but only had a 3in. I added two reducers for now. It looks a bit ghetto but it will work. I'm debating whether to eliminate the valve that goes to the waste gate, but will defer to the opinions of more experienced guys. I just need to finish wiring it and it's ready. Time for lunch.

I found running more pressure versus bigger nozzles worked better. The higher pressure helps "vaporize" the fluid which yielded cooler temps. I also had a solenoid close to the nozzle to make sure that fluid (drops) wasn't pulled at idle.

Yeah I'm gonna start with the smaller nozzle and work my way up. I don't think i can adjust the pressure. The pump goes up to 300 psi.

I hope you mean ridiculous in a good way It was the only way we could fit two batteries in there.

I blocked it off for now. Can't really tell a difference yet,, but then again I haven't driven it. It opens up at around 18psi.

Yeah, looks like you can stand to keep it closed. Can you install a boost elbow instead? That way you can keep the wastegate feature, but tune it to open at a higher psi.

Thats the piece I broke off. Couldn't find a replacement so I just plugged it. Some guys here are running 30 to 40 psi, so I figured it couldn't hurt to not use a wastegate.
