Hooked it up to the antenna and radio. Too dark to mess with right now. Will hit the gym then maybe get to it tomorrow. Next toy will be a go pro for the big bend trip. Can't wait for the bbq pit to show up.

Final things on my to buy list are
-Selectable lockers.
-Chromoly axles, front and back.
-A paint job (undecided if I should monsterline everything or just do a black and red two tone paint).

After that I can truly claim I've achieved my goal. Will probably take me a year to save for and complete.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I will probably install a larger inter cooler before summer. The one I have is good for the winter but struggles when ambient temps are higher.

That one looks small enough to keep connected for fine tuning if needed. Mine was early 2000's technology and is at least double that size.

You still need a rear cargo drawer system, hot water setup for camping, off-road trailer.........it never ends. :)

Dave, those are nice to have and will eventually save for them. Fridge especially; showers are over rated, just ask any Iraqi :p. I'm talking about need to have stuff to make it near bullet proof.

Longhorn BBQ gets here Friday :bounce2::bounce::bounce2::bounce:

Forgot to add, 18.3 mpg returning from Houston. Not great but I'll take it.

Love that BBQ, truck is looking good

There is a local BBQ place near the house with one heck of a smoker, I'll have to get a good picture of it for you. Guaranteed that you'll like it

Would love to see it. Post it when you can. Thanks.

You need this BBQ, the smoke even comes out the nose and eyes.

Not a BBQ... But, I built this for my SIL & BIL about 6 years ago for their new D.C. home.. NEVER AGAIN!!!

lots of beer and fj60 sheet metal with some re-bar for the skeleton and other parts went into this project.

Well the bbq came in. Took about 5 minutes to mount the tire on the new plate. Didn't need help like last time. This thing is super beefy. Bought some high heat paint and painted the bbq. I freaking love it. Fit like a glove. A bunch of people are already asking me about it. Can't wait to try it on the trail. Well done Jason

Ok pics.
New plate and hitch.

Pretty much centers itself. Was so much easier to bolt on and i didn't need help.

Here it is mounted.

I took it down and painted it, waiting for it to dry. Will post up pics of the finished product tomorrow.

It's on there solid Jason. As long as the spindle holds this thing is a TANK. I also feel much better about not needing help to change out a tire. Thanks and great work.
