thank. AOP?

Yeah. It's an offroad park in Tennessee. Meant to send that to my brother but posted that nonsensical BS in your thread instead like a dumbass lol. Think nothing of it.

Mike, how is the grill going to be mounted to the tire carrier? How about welding on a hitch receiver tube to the plate where the tire mounts to. It would also help when you change tires by giving you a place to temporarily place the tire on while lining up the lugs.

That's what Jason is doing. It will have a hitch receiver on the tire where the grill will mount and will also be a holder for the tire while I line up the bolts. So basically yea, Jason is doing what you're suggesting :).

Yep, just like the last couple I've built and posted up.

Excellent. I did that on my last two rigs.

Mike, let me know if you need a bike rack. I made one to fit on my old bumper. I'm sure we can do some horestrading :)

Just installed the CB radio. It's loud, clear and compact. Tomorrow during the daylight I'll decide how to best hide the wires and where to hang the mic.

I'm skimping on the details because I'm about to drive to Houston.

I basically added a fuse to the fuse box and grounded it. 5 minutes. I still need to figure out where to permanently have it.

Do you get any noise doing it that way? I had to run mine straight to the battery to cut down on unwanted feedback.

None so far. Will See how it does on the road.

When I originally did mine I shared the power wire I used for the EGT and boost gauges. Everytime I pushed the talk button my EGT gauge changed color and the boost gauge shot up to max boost. And got a bad noise during acceleration. It was pretty funny.

I drove it from Austin to Houston and tomorrow I'll drive it back. It seems to be stuck on 17mpg whether it's highway (without headwinds) or mixed driving. Though it drives faster since the regearing, I've also added the roof rack and rear bumper. So I've essentially cancelled out the extra mpg i would have gained. The good news is it's still much better than the 3fe it had.

Edit:
I forgot to mention that finding the right PSI for the tires makes all the difference. I increased the tire pressure to 30 front and 28 rear, the ceramic beads essentially balanced it out to near zero vibration.

Your build is looking great.

GTX II seats? How do you like them? Did you use Corbeau's seat brackets? Did they fit and put the seat at the correct height?

Thanks, I'm loving the rig more everyday. The seats are a big improvement over the stock ones. I'm not sure what sub model they are, a buddy gave them to me because he wasn't comfortable in them. They can be a bit snug if you're a big guy. I used the corbeau brackets, one of them was a bit off. Took some muscle to align it. Ended up stripping a bolt in the process, but got it done in the end. They are the correct height and I no longer have lower back pains from longer trips.
If i were paying for seats i would have tried a few and picked the most comfortable one. Since they were free, I can't complain.
