Yes, airbags are for that. Yet since I've become American I have an insatiable urge to shop beyond my need. All jokes aside, I hope the airbags are enough.
Bambi, not sure what you envy. I don't have the bumper yet and you're the one with lockers :)

Mike, Not sure on your bag rating.. On my '08 welding truck I added bags for a Lincoln Vantage 400, packrat loaded with tools, OA bottle set and a pethora of stands, cords, leads etc... at 40psi in the bags I sat at a stinkbug rake... your bags should handle 400#s with ease.. IMO.

J they probably will. I'm just wired to "what if" everything to death. It drives me nuts and pretty much everyone else around me. Stupid intel training :bang:

Been awhile since I've checked in on you and your truck. Hope all is well. Just want to see if the snorkel that your using is up to your standards and if you would recommend it or not? I think that I still have the link to the ebay site that you sent me awhile back. Let me know your thoughts on it.

All is well, thanks for asking. I love the snorkel. It's sturdy with no issues. I have wondered if it moves enough air for the engine I'm using, but since I've re-geared it seems like my worries were unfounded. If I remember correctly, there's one hole you can't access but the others hold it in place well enough. Would recommend.

Awesome, thanks sir.

So a small update is due. Took out the old stereo and installed a new Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth. My buddy did the harness, since I could not understand the simple concept of same colors go together.

Old stereo that couldn't read a cd

This was hard for me. I couldnt get my hands back far enough so a Buddy did the install.

And yes before anyone makes a comment, I do need to clean the interior.

Can you hear over the 4BT with the microphone..

J
I can hear them since the incoming calls are played over the stereo. I don't yet know how clearly they can hear me since I didn't have the truck running when I was testing it. I will find out this evening and let you know.

Radio looks great! Mines pretty terrible too haha, but it can handle playing music from an iPod so I'm happy. Of course it sounds like s***, but that another story hahaha.

Ok drove around while talking on the mic. They can understand me, but they can also tell I'm in the car. Still a great upgrade IMO

That's pretty slick, M! All my teeth are white, so I'll have to look and see if my stereo has Whitetooth so I can do the same....

Yeah if I remember correctly some Danish king was known as Bluetooth. The symbol they are using is his mark.

Nice. That King must have been a spectacle...his teeth probably stained blue from drinking all that wine and eating the livers' of his dead enemies...that is until his enemies discovered his weakness...a morbid fear of going to the dentist...

So if I understand correctly, Bluetooth pairing between your phone and the stereo...does the mic plug into the phone or stereo? And does the phone need a special app or does it have an option programmed where you can select the 'output', sending the signal to either the speaker in the earpiece of the phone or over Bluetooth to the stereo speaker output?

The mic is connected to the stereo. You just need to pair the phone and stereo together and you're set. You can select how you want the audio to come on They the phone. You can use the remote to change playlists on your phone as well

Wow! That is pretty slick! I doubt that my stereo has Bluetooth (it does have an aux input lead for hard wiring a iPod or the likes...), but I'll take another look...
