Trim those u-bolts!!!!

Trim those u-bolts!!!!

i'm holding off on that for the time being. Looking into airbags that could fit/mount on them. Then I'll trim them off. I probably should have mentioned that earlier.

Getting ready for round up.

Katemcy PICS!!! J

Loading them now. Need to eat and spend some time with the main squeeze so I can have more time on the internet later ;)

Went up to Katemcy on friday with AJ and met up with most of the Texas crowd. It was good putting a face to names and getting the know the real people behind the opinions and builds. It was my first time taking Big Red there, though he had been there years ago with his old heart. I did some light trails on friday then took the county line tour on saturday, I was adamant about not breaking or scratching anything, i mostly succeeded. Was drunk all in between runs.

Here's a few pics to start y'all off.

Who owns this rig?
IMG_5571.jpg

Yup this guy owns it (he also just happens to own this website). We stood on the roof oh his rig so we can take better pictures.

some more.

Had a horn issue. As we were doing the county trail my horn starts blaring. I hit it a few times and it fixed itself. Repeats again, same solution. the third time it gets stuck, the guy in front couldn't tell if I was drunk or needed help. Drove that way until Davegonz who was my passenger stuffed some papers in there to break the contact. I fixed it when we stopped, but it was a good time trying to drive and remove the steering wheel pad and fix it.

I slept like a king, best rest I had in weeks.

some body damage from one of the guys that wheeled his 80
IMG_5667.jpg

this happened on the way out today. I stopped to get breakfast with the guys, after we ate we decided to get gas. The gas station was 30 yards away. That 30 yard snapped my return fuel line.

AAA to the rescue. I don't really feel bad about towing sine that's how most people got their rigs there, I feel bad cause I was so careful all weekend then this happens on the way out.
IMG_5672.jpg

there's a ton more pictures, I know the other guys also snapped some. I'll load them up in time. Family obligations are calling

EDIT:
I just wanted to say the 80 rear axle held up great this weekend. I'm happy with the outcome and recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it

Looks like fun Mike. Gotta love the trail induced issues... I lost my throttle linkage on Marley last year at Jamboree... Zip ties got me home.. HA!

Jason, I hope to see you there next year, or at another event sooner than that:beer:

Ok the website is UP :D. I asked this question in another forum, but didn't get any helpful bites. Where can I get a fuel line kit for a 4bt with CPL 1839. Cummins wants an arm and a leg and there are so many different variants of the 4bt it's iffy buying it on ebay.

Don't mind me, I'm just learning to navigate the site. Some photos won't load because they are too large. Never had that issue before.

Preston not help you any?

J
I haven't contacted him. I lost the paper I wrote the number and parts number on (pretty sure someone "cleaned" the table and shredded it.)

Our rigs look like twins in that picture! Let me know if you decide to install airbags on the rear springs. I'm thinking about doing it in preparation for camping trips this summer.
