Done one better feller been, swithing between yours' and matt.machines over and over again. :) Now I am good, thanks for the tip.

So I sent Dupli-Color a few pictures of the motor along with a breif description.

They loved them.

They asked me if I needed anything to finish the cruiser. I told them I was wanting to repaint the body. Guess what? They are sending me the paint to finish the cruiser. Hugger Orange, Championship White and the clear coat. I was completely floored. It's good to see there are still some companies that will go the extra mile to make you happy. They are one of them.

Corporate sponsorship! Not bad! Tell them they can feature your truck in a Duplicolor ad for, oh, say $5000 a year? :grinpimp:

Lol I happy with just the paint.

Had a big box waiting for me today.

Gallon and a half of clear
1/2 Gallon of white
1/2Gallon of black
Gallon of orange
and a case of bead liner.

All I need to buy is primer.

Got to love Dupli-Color/ Sherwin Williams.:bounce:

You really need to add them to your Sig

Great news but no excuse for not getting her up and running :steer:

Hoping to have her running on the road by Sat. I'm supposed to go wheeling. It's the little things now that get me.

Finished painting the battery tray and started making the battery cables. Not as hard as I thought it would be but time consuming. One thing I have found that I really liked were the solder slugs to connect the ends of the battery cables. Those things are great. Positive is done.

I crimped and soldered mine to cable that are for welding equipment as its super flexible.

You can't see them here  well just

Sweet I watched that duplicolor paint being used on 4x4 Extreme and have been leaning towards using it on my exterior! I will be staying tuned to see how it works out!

Had planned to take it to someone to get the exhaust built. What a pain that would have been especially all the towing. SO I broke out the tubing bender and made my own. Using 2". Came out pretty well.

Then welded the O2 bung in.

Next I removed the gold plated fuel lines and ran hose instead. Works well. Will need to reinforce it later to keep it from rubbing.

Stuck the key in the ignition and cranked her up. Looks like I'm gonna need to adjust the throttle plates to get it to idle. But it runs and cranks very well.

Hahaahhahhahahaaah! Pink and Lime ala art deco SoBe.

Your header collection tube looks great!

Got the radiator installed today. Filled her up and gave her a go. Ran pretty good though my idle is low. Then I noticed water coming out of the side of the head and block. SHut her down. Had one of those oh s*** moments when I thought the head was warped or I had a crack. Turns out I had forgotten to remove the gay paint from under the headbolts. The heat from the engine melted it and there you have it. I checked oil which was fine but now I'm gonna pull the valve cover a take a bolt out at a time and make sure it's metal to metal. The retourque all bolts to spec. 97lbs.

I'm so close. But I don't want to rush it since 4 grand is a lot to take a motor out first time and trash it.
