So I clicked the link, and heard the Zep, but no one is working on the truck. You guys still eating donuts or nursing hangovers?

Very cool idea.

Yea, you need to talk more about what you are doing, like "I'm fixing to pound this pilot bearing in now, so where did my BFH go?" This is a "teachable" moment.

Maybe you could get Marv Albert to do the play: "He searches and scores the last bellhousing bolt!"

Nice Led Zepplin though.

Dyno?

Maybe I missed this but did you ever get this on a dyno? I'd be curious to see what it makes for tq and hp.

Well, could you hum or sing or talk or something?:D Don't you ever watch Power Block?;) Maybe a hot chicka talkin' tech:p

Ed

I second the vote on having a hot chick narrate - seeing as how I probably won't hear her anyways - make sure she does a little dance every now and then.

Managed to watch the vid for all of 15 seconds - will tune in when you fire er up! :hillbilly:

7:45am and I can't here a 2F purring yet :D

But looking good at least it's in, it's now you start to realise how long all the little jobs take.

Yeah I still have a list. BUt at least the hard part is done. Thanks Alex and Josh for giving me a hand.

COuple of issues I ran into.

First the realization that the u-joint at the stearing box has issues and needs to be tightened. An easy thing if the bumper wouldn't have been welded on. So I need to cut it off and weld some brackets for it and fix the joint.

Also realized I'm missing the copper washer for the slave cylinder.

Fuel pump needs to be installed as well as install the fuel lines to the hard lines.

Drill hole in firewall and plug in the computer.
Power it up
Add all the fluids.

Thanks for the video feed Marshall, I really enjoyed it. Moving the h8mud to a whole new level. So, did you find that 17mm wrench you were looking for? Hope you can put the startup on video, I'd rearrange my day for that.

Yeah I found the wrench but lost the socket somewhere.

I think it would be cool to have more people do something like the video feed. As long as you have a laptop or old computer in your garage it's not hard at all and the camera cost me all of $30. I thought it might be entertaining to see someone work on a cruiser. Even if you couldn't tell what they were doing. Maybe next time I'll move the camera closer.

I plan on working on it through the week as I can get a little time. I'm taking care of my 2yr old so wrenching time has been cut. I think I could have it runnning in a good 4hrs. Will plan on doing another live feed once I get to that point. I do know it's going to be loud since it has nothing but straight pipes right now.

Pics from the install.

absolutey amazing.... I would never expect that a guy who cooks some of the best barbeque I've ever tasted would go and do something like that....
;)

That is one funky looking engine. cant wait to hear (see) it run :wrench::wrench::wrench:

Wouldn't be suprised if a clown got shot out of the exhaust on startup... :D

Is it going to idle with a lisp?

Let us know when it starts.

I went back and read most of the thread. Paint aside, nice going.
