Did you ever find out what this comment meant?

Nope, the guy I was talking to just insisted there was some inherent difference between the quality of the Walmart KM2's and the ones that they sell. I think they're full of crap, I can't find any mention of that anywhere online. I'm not sure if they just didn't want to honor the sale price on the tires, or what. I plan on writing an email to someone in management about my experience. Tirebuyer shipped my pair of KM2's yesterday (the day I placed the order).

I had no idea that the toyos came in a 255/85. Good to know, although I will most likely not need tires for a couple of years.

Great tires.

I'm bettin they match up juuuuuuuust fine.

"Oh, Thooooooose tires..... Those are made in the Taiwan factory with bottom of the barrel rubber components that barely meet BFG's top of the industry standards... Risk those tires, and you might see 2 or 3 thousand miles less wear than the premium tires of the exact same make that we sell..."

That's more or less what he said. He implied that the Walmart sold BF Goodrich tires are cheaply made overseas garbage and theirs were quality made in the USA! The funny part is that the original customer service person they told me my tires were stuck at the port due to a tire tarrif issue 2 months ago when I placed my order... why would your tires be stuck in a port if they were made in the USA? Dumb.

Those look awesome. Love that tire.
