So I've been searching here and haven't come up with exactly what I'm looking for here, who sells the best aftermarket tie rod ends? Cruiser Outfitters, CCOT, MAF, SOR, JTO, Marlin ... they all seem to be priced about the same, just trying to figure out which are the best ends to go with. I'm not looking for your favorite vendor here, just the best ends if I'm not going OEM ...

Why wouldn't you go Toyota /OEM? What is your driver for that decision? I am replacing all my ends on my '40 with FJ62/80 stuff. It will be beefy AND toyota!

OEM or 555.

If 555, you will need to clean and paint them asap! as they will rust quickly.

You have to buy all the tie rods to get OEM, $300 vs. $80 :frown:

Thanks for the tip, I think this is the way I'm going (Kurt sells these right?).

1 ton tre's if not going oem
What's involved here, just drilling out the steering arms? I'm not planning on going Hi-steer ...

OEM are by far the best.....and with each end......you get a free rod :)

next are Fuji

then 555

If you are changing over to the FJ60 knuckle, and steering arms, then I'd run the FJ60 or FJ80 tie rod ends.

If you are planning on keeping your FJ40 steering arms and knuckles, then just run the FJ40 Tie rod ends...

I have been running 'Joint Fuji' FJ40 tie rod ends forever and have not had a single problem with them. Though, I should say that my tie rod is 1.5" diameter with a 3/8" wall thickness....

I am converting to the large pattern knuckles, but I've got a mini-truck PS conversion and 60/80 series ends won't work with this setup. Just looking for the best 40 ends - where do you gt the Fuji ends?
