Are there any places that I can get a pair of OEM Metal FJ60 euro mirrors for 300? Less would be great but OEM is never cheap. Pretty fed up with the dog eared cheapo's on there right now

Tried PMing some folks in the Small Business section, no responses... Unless it's truely worthwhile to buy them from SOR? Can anyone speak to that?

Also did anyone confirm if the 70's series mirrors fit??? There was a lot of back and fourth regarding the gaskets.

@Racer65 is the one that is selling them on eBay right now and is a member here. For the price, you aren't really going to find any that are in "good" shape for much less than $300.

70 series mirrors will fit but I believe you need to make custom insolator pads and/or drill a new hole for them.

I got a pair of metal ones form SOR. They were worth every penny I spent.
Only thing I hate about SOR is the amount they charge me in shipping costs.

@EasternYeti Snatch that pair from @Racer65. I purchased a pair from him a month or so ago. Faster shipping than expected. - Worth the $ and the prices aren't going to be getting any less for 60 Series parts.

He's selling the metal ones on eBay right? The eBay listing isn't specific, if they're the metal ones I'll grab them tonight

OEM mirrors are not metal.

I guess I'm just confused between SORS description of the OEM mirrors

" factory O.E.M. Aussie style mirrors. These factory Aussie mirrors are built to withstand the outback environment, they feature a metal break away style mirror arm and larger size convex mirror head for better vision"

Do yours have the metal break away mirror arm? Or are these two different mirrors and I'm confusing the two?

I checked SOR to make sure. It's exactly the same mirror. However, their description is inaccurate. The mirror arm must "break away" for safety reason, therefore it is not metal. Neither is the housing.

Jesus $OR's discounted price is $260 for one?

@Racer65 and obviously you haven't tried ordering something from them.. Great people and service but they are one of the last places I will look due to price and SHIPPING!!

I run the 70 mirrors. They bolt right up but have s slight gap at the top where the trim piece meets the door. 100% improvement over the stock 60 mirrors. I could never go back.

I bought mine overseas back in 2008 and it is the real deal, lets say i strike gold for what i paid for brand new in box for about $150 (both).

Yup, those are good mirrors too. I would say runner-up to the Euro Spec. Not a perfect fit with the door profile, but really close enough for 100 bucks less. I have one set of those left. See pics in the Small Biz section.

I shot ya a PM and an Email a while back regarding those but figured they were gone, do they come with gaskets of any kind?

Even the guy behind the counter looked up something for me and was like "wow, that's expensive!"

@Racer65 I bought yours off eBay and am stoked on them. I made the gasket out of the moldable rubber stuff that you set with a heat gun. Not totally perfect (due to my skills) but from at least a foot away looks great!

It turned out an overseas buyer did not send payment so one set remains.

The mirror comes with the base piece you see in the photos. As mentioned above, it's a 99% fit to the 60 series door profile without any gasket. If you can't tolerate the 1% gap, you can make your own gasket by cutting out a rectangular piece of rubber.

The screw holes match up perfectly.

@Racer65 do you know If you'll be getting anymore Euro Mirrors in the future? They sell like hot cakes and I missed the boat

Same here. Have had 70 series mirrors on both FJ60s for ca. 10 years. IMO the minor, minor gap is inconsequential especially considering the dramatically improved view over stock. Each of these mirrors are still rock solid and both Cruisers have had good workouts over the years.

@Racer65 I pulled the trigger on your 70 series mirrors, looking forward to getting them on the rig. Thanks for your input on both
